Haid merupakan pertanda masa reproduksi bagi wanita, yang dimulai haid sampai terjadinya menopause (berhentinya haid), dan ini hanya terjadi pada wanita dewasa yang sehat dan tidak hamil. Ketika wanita berhalangan, bukan berarti ia berhenti sama sekali melakukan amal kebaikan yang bemilai ibadah. Jangan membuang-buang waktu secara percuma ketika haid, nifas, atau istihadhah. Sesungguhnya setiap manusia secara umum, baik pria maupun wanita haruslah selalu beribadah sepanjang hidupnya. Haruslah melakukan perbuatan-perbuatan yang bemilai ibadah sehingga mereka dapat menciptakan ladang pahala. Ada ibadah-ibadah tertentu yang tidak boleh dilakukan wanita berhalangan (haid atau nifas), misalnya shalat, berpuasa, dan berhubungan badan dengan suaminya. Namun masih banyak amal ibadah yang boleh dilakukan dalam rangka mencapai amar makruf dan meraih pahala dari Allah. Maka sesungguhnya apa pun halangannya, tidaklah dapat dijadikan sebagai alasan bagi wanita untuk tidak beribadah sama sekali.
