I am in no way suggesting that my research covers all Black or Multi-racial women and their hair. I am however suggesting that there are many similar "hairstories" that these women share in common. There is a universality that exists all over the world regarding the herstory of hair experiences. These hair issues impact the self-identity, self-esteem, self-worth, and core values, of these women, simply based on wearing their naturally grown virgin hair. Women are becoming aware that we are more valuable than our outer appearance. The CROWN of glory that adorns our diverse hues, and tones of our radiant skin complexions, and the texture of our curly tresses that we were blessed with at birth. We are no longer accepting nor tolerating racial, and hair discrimination based on the hair we naturally grow. We are no longer trying to conform nor assimilate to standards of beauty that don't represent us, nor understand the Herstory of our Hairstory.
