Magdalena Solé first visited Cuba in 2011 and has returned every year since, enchanted by the place and the people who live in this slender stretch of land. LESEPROBE: Kein Zweifel: Die DDR hatte rege Beziehungen zu illegalen Strukturen in Chile unterhalten. Ende 1974 wurden die Informationen spärlicher und es war die Resignation zu erahnen, die ihren Übermittler befallen haben musste. Dann brachen die Aufzeichnungen ab. Im Sommer 1975 nur der handschriftliche Hinweis: „Keine Neuigkeiten aus Chile.“ Weiter hinten stieß Hannah auf Besuchsdaten von Kontaktpersonen. Aus der DDR. Nach Bonn! Von Januar bis April 1976. Kurz vor dem Anschlag. Zweck der Besuche war „Austausch, Planung von Aktivitäten“. Hannah knöpfte ihre Strickjacke auf. Darunter stand, wieder handgeschrieben: „Aufgrund fehlerhafter Aktion Intensivierung der Kontakte“, es folgten zwei weitere Datumsangaben. Fehlerhafte Aktion! Das letzte Treffen war am neunten Mai. Leonels „Partner-IM“ war als anwesend vermerkt. Damit musste Mercedes gemeint sein. Sie suchte in der Akte von Mercedes. Dort war ein Eintrag vom sechsten Mai 1976 enthalten: „IM zeigt sich unwillig, Kontakt zu Partner-IM zu halten. Nach Ermahnung Besserung versprochen.“ Wenige Tage nach dem Anschlag. Hatten sich Mercedes und Leonel gestritten? Ihr Blick fiel auf den letzten Eintrag in der Akte: „IM verhaftet, Gründe unklar“. Was war denn an einem Terroranschlag unklar? Oder konnten sie sich bloß die Verhaftung ihrer Mitarbeiterin nicht erklären?
