We very much cherish our traditional Christmas songs. It turns out that many of our Christmas songs (actual ones, not Santa songs) are 75 to 500 years old or more. Most are fairly serious and with serious melodic delivery. With that in mind, we wished to create something new that was light hearted and more of a story-within-a-story, so to speak.
