During its study the Committee considered a number of topics but focused attention on three main areas: the current water quality of the Haw river-jordan Lake watershed, including the success of past programs implemented to control pollution and additional efforts needed to protect and improve water quality; the allocation Of water from Jordan Reservoir to local governments requesting to share the water supply; and the possible inclusion of the Haw River into the State's Natural and Scenic Rivers System.
