The Quality of care in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings: tools and resources compendium represents a curated, pragmatic and non-prescriptive collection of tools and resources to support the implementation of interventions to improve quality of care in such contexts. Relevant tools and resources are listed under five areas: Ensuring access and basic infrastructure for quality; shaping the system environment; reducing harm; improving clinical care; and engaging and empowering patients, families and communities. Cross-cutting products are also signposted. This compendium is a companion to the World Health Organization (WHO) resource Quality of care in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings - taking action.

As the field of public administration has been changing due to globalization, government reforms, and increasing governance practices within intergovernmental networks, research and teaching in public administration also adapted itself to these changes. Public policy research and instruction has become transformed and has diffused into other countries with the help of international organizations and other agents of change and transfer. Research in this field is seen as an opportunity for a definitive shift from traditional models of public administration in the sense that policies may be better designed, articulated, and governed through a collaborative approach, while service provision could be enhanced in terms of proximity, representativeness, and innovativeness. The Handbook of Research on Global Challenges for Improving Public Services and Government Operations provides comprehensive approaches to the study of public administration and public policy from a comparative perspective and includes sound theories and concepts for understanding opportunities and challenges governments face when seeking to improve public services and government operations. The book is a compilation of selective high-quality chapters covering cases, experiences, and practical recommendations on topics related to public administration, public policy, social policy, public management, and public affairs. This book is ideal for policymakers, students, and researchers in the field of public administration, public policy, governance, public management, public affairs, citizen engagement, and administrative sciences and management along with practitioners, stakeholders, and academicians interested in the best practices of various countries in public administration and policy.

Financing Common Goods For Health written by and has been published by World Health Organization this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-09-14 with Social Science categories.
Common Goods for Health (CGH) are the core population-based functions or interventions that are essential to the health and well-being of entire societies. They necessitate public financing and public action as they are public goods or have large social externalities, and thus will not arise through market forces alone. The objectives of this guidance document are to clearly define CGH, to discuss CGH’s connections with other critical health agendas to build more responsive and resilient health systems, and to address financing issues associated with CGH at national, sub-national, and community levels. This document establishes a nomenclature that delineates relevant CGH categories, sub-categories, and functions, which can aid in policy discussions, budget dialogues (including prioritization processes in countries), and health expenditure tracking processes as means of monitoring and accountability. The document is intended to be used primarily by national and sub-national finance and health authorities, as well as by other government entities, global and regional organizations, civil society, and academic institution.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, global spending on health was continuing to rise, though at a slower rate in recent years. External aid for health mainly funded infectious and parasitic disease programmes in low and middle income countries, while domestic public funds focused more on noncommunicable disease. A group of 32 lower income countries face severe health financing constraints, which slow their progress towards health security and universal health coverage. Although precise forecasting is impossible, the combined health and economic shocks triggered by COVID-19 will have both direct and indirect consequences for health spending and progress towards universal health coverage. The COVID-19 pandemic caught the world by surprise but confirmed the need for greater and more secure public funding for health.
