When the Cousins first came up with the idea for this story, they ranged in age from 7 to 11-years-old. Creative thinkers, active artists, and enthusiastic readers with great imaginations and a passion for animals both in their homes and in the wild, the four cousins first created a homemade book from a series of drawings they had made of endangered animals. Then they began the Animal Protection Club (APC) and hung more hand-drawn pictures in their clubhouse. They invented the idea of the Great Eagle who could take them over different parts of the continents to help save at least some animals in distress. From that idea grew many stories, and finally the idea to make those stories into a book series. This is the second book in that series. It was created, designed, and edited by the Cousins who chose to call themselves “Adam, Rachel, Benjamin (called Ben), Melanie, and baby brother Matt”. Their “grown-ups” helped by converting the stories into chapters and verse, then the Cousins edited every page and concept to keep it true to their story. The Cousins have also illustrated each chapter of the book and chosen the pen name A.M. Brimmar, a combination of the letters of their names. The Cousins, now ages 9 to 13, hope to create a full series of stories about helping animals on each continent whose space the humans have slowly encroached on.You, dear reader, are invited to join them in exploring their research, and riding the Eagle right along with them since there is no time or space involved. Enjoy the journey!
