This book, 'Laghukatha samiksha' is about the critical appraisal of Hindi Laghukatha. It contains various essays written by me in past twenty years. The first essay critically sees the effects of Globalizations on Indian society through the eyes of Hindi story writer. How did they saw this period and what are their worries? Similarly, stories penned down by authors about women are the subject of my criticism. Do they feel bit liberated in Indian context? Or still they must go a long way. Another essay is about Dalit, the downtrodden section of our society. The stories about downtrodden are subjected to criticism. We find that they are still discriminated and treated as less than human being. Then there are articles on the relevance of Laghukatha and its concern with human values. The book also has many interviews of me on the Laghukatha samiksha. These interviews were taken by many authors and help the readers to understand the tools of Laghukatha samiksha.
