Zusammenfassung: This book investigates European higher education internationalisation policies during a period marked by extreme upheaval due to Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic. Situating her analysis at the intersection of higher education research and policy studies, the author combines historical and sociological institutionalism to investigate how this time of disruption impacted higher education policies in England, France and Germany. Based on extensive qualitative data derived from expert interviews and document analysis, the study offers timely insights into dynamics of institutional change and stability in higher education governance, as well as implications for the future of cross-border education and internationalisation. The book will appeal to academics and students interested in education policy and the internationalisation of higher education. Anna P. Lohse is a postdoctoral researcher in Higher Education Studies at the Institute of Education, Technical University Berlin, Germany

Academic Freedom In The European Context written by Ivo De Gennaro and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-02-12 with Education categories.

This book explores the concept of academic freedom from a European vantage point. Drawing on both philosophical and legal perspectives, the editors and contributors analyse the concept of academic freedom within the present institutional setting. Academic freedom has long been considered a natural part of higher education, but as the world enters the digital age, a renewed understanding of its role and the threats it must face is required. The authors question the purpose of science without freedom, and subsequently the purpose of political communities without free science. Although the book uses European case studies to answer these questions, it undoubtedly has global relevance: what would be left of the present notion of the ‘global world’ were we to conceive of its character without modern science? This book calls for a critical re-examination of the academic community and its own understanding of the sources, conditions and aims of scientific practice.

Funktionen Des Rechts In Der Pluralistischen Wissensgesellschaft written by Christian Brünner and has been published by Böhlau Verlag Wien this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007 with Education, Higher categories.
