In this book, Casper Rigsby addresses the doctrine of Christianity known as the bible, and dives head long into the insanity within that text. The book will introduce the non-Christian to some of the most irrational and illogical ideas within the Christian doctrine and will remind the progressive or moderate Christian of just how insane the bible is. It will also present the notion that by wearing the label of Christian they are signing a metaphorical terms of service agreement that says that they agree with all the insanity presented there by proxy, and will hopefully leave the reader questioning why anyone would believe any of this nonsense. Lastly, this title will ask the reader to take off the blinders of faith, even if only for a minute, and take an objective look at the insanity within the bible.

We turn to science when we seek observable answers. There, in science, we see the universe quantified and summed up as best we can observe it. Our powers of basic observation, i.e., what we think of as our tactile senses, many times are simply not well adapted enough to give us sufficient answers. Consequently, we build tools to aid our senses in allowing ourselves to look deeper into the fabric of the universe.

This is the story of the bible told like you've very likely never heard it told before. The bible is one the most highly regarded literary works of all time. A number one best-seller before there even was such a thing, the bible has long been the most purchased book in history. The problem is however, that most people haven't actually read the book, and those who have don't really understand a very fundamental fact about the bible. That fact being that the bible is in all honesty, simply a very bad work of fiction. In my version I strip away all the metaphysical mumbo-jumbo and all the supposedly miraculous nonsense, and tell the story for exactly what it is. The bible is nothing more than a collection of fictional works from the minds of deluded and possibly mentally ill men, which tells the story of the most powerful wizard ever to exist. This wizard just so happens to supposedly live in another dimension, and the bible offers the stories of how this extra-dimensional wizard used to supposedly interact with mankind.Told from the perspective offered here, the absolute ridiculousness of this book becomes painfully transparent. Leaving the reader to wonder how anyone could have ever believed it as fact.

How Science and the Supernatural Changed My Life “One day one of my professors asked me if it was true that I was a Bible-believing Christian. When I answered yes, his polite, upbeat attitude instantly turned rude and arrogant. In front of my peers, he insulted my intelligence, belittled my faith, and discredited the Bible. To him there was absolutely no doubt that science and academia had shown the pure ‘insanity of such belief,’” writes author Max Davis. Written from his journalistic point of view, The Insanity of Unbelief is a result of the author’s 30-year walk from childlike belief, to skepticism, and finally deep, secure faith. The contents are based on his expert and thorough research of solid facts versus what many atheists, agnostics, and even some believers tout. Different from other apologetic books is the addition of true, documented, supernatural experiences and miracles making a compelling—and exciting—argument for the reality and power of God!

Rather than slavish adherence to sacred books and archaic superstitions, religion should mean, according to Dolan, nothing more than a genuine fellowship among people of good will united in mutual respect and cooperation. A personable yet defiant tract advocating a rejection of magical solutions offered for human problems and a discriminating use of reason in its stead. Attraction, fear, danger—an unlikely recipe for healing scars. Men in Blue, Book 5 In the year since Ellie escaped The Scientist’s ghastly dungeon, she still can’t stop looking over her shoulder. Or stop feeling guilty over the man who sacrificed so much to save her. He lost everything. His career, his aspirations—even part of his body. It’s no wonder he wants nothing to do with her. Too bad he’s the only man she can think about. Lucas has vowed to stay away from Ellie, but not for the reason she thinks. The woman he craves doesn’t need to waste her life taking care of a man with a missing leg, not when she needs to focus on her own healing. Despite the best matchmaking attempts of the Men in Blue—and their wives—the emotional and physical gap between them seems uncrossable. Until Ellie is threatened again, and the only choice is to work together until she’s safe. But to stay in the land of the living, they’ll both have to fight through their pain—and relive a few nightmares—to guarantee their demons won’t destroy her future. Warning: Contains an alpha male with a broken body, but whose best bits are in fine working order. And a woman who survived hell, and is determined to fit enough of their jagged edges together to make a whole. Vivid PTSD flashbacks of sexual violence could be disturbing for some readers.

A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.
