Homeschool Greek is like no other Biblical Greek grammar. Its features include: - For ages twelve through adult. Unlike other Grammar products, this is designed for younger students. - Teaches English grammar before it introduces Greek grammar. - Self-teaching: You don t need a teacher the text is your teacher. The text continually asks questions and confirms or corrects your answers. - Programmed: The text takes you through the normal Trivium process of learning: introducing information, explaining how the pieces of information fit together, and showing you how to use the information. - Extensive preprinted Vocabulary Drill Cards. - A Greek New Testament Reader, which covers Matthew Chapters 5 through 7, including an English translation. - Audio Pronunciation Tapes for both the Grammar and the Reader. - Diagnostic tests to determine whether the material has been mastered, and if not, what material to restudy. Beautifully formatted, using the 1611 King James Bible as our model to add decorative scrolls and leaf marks. - Inexpensive when compared to other language course texts. Volume One has 18 chapters divided into 95 lessons and 15 comprehensive tests. The material begins very easy, gradually increases in difficulty, and concludes with 5 challenging chapters. The last 10 chapters use Biblical expressions for examples and exercises. The student must memorize numerous Greek passages from the Proverbs and the New Testament. The text points out information which the student is required to enter in an orderly Greek notebook. After completing Volume One, the student should have a working knowledge of Greek nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and prepositions and some knowledge of the Greek verb system. Younger students will take up to two years to complete Volume One. Adult students may be able to complete it in a few months. NOTE! This grammar does not teach the Greek alphabet and phonetic system. These are taught in A Greek Alphabetarion. Volume One: Mostly Nouns and Such Includes: 310 page Text (11x81/2); 28 page test booklet (7 x 81/2); laminated Lesson Guide; 64 page New Testament Reader (11x81/2); 342 Vocabulary Cards; 3 Audio Tapes"

An Easy Start to GreekFailure to master the basics of a language -- its spelling and phonics rules -- will cripple our progress in mastering the whole language. Yet many Greek grammars spend little time teaching the symbols and sounds of the Greek alphabet. Before we can learn a language, we must master its alphabet. This new edition of A Greek Alphabetarion has been thoroughly revised and reformatted to make it easier for parents to teach their children, and for older students to learn by themselves. A syllabary (practice blending consonants and vowels) and a chrestomathy (practice reading sample passages) have been added in this new edition.A Greek Alphabetarion teaches the Greek alphabet in alphabetical order, letter by letter, using a rhythmic cadence to aid the student?s memorization. Then, it teaches the alphabet in phonetic order, classifying each letter by its sound. A Greek Alphabetarion helps the student step-by-step to master reading Greek before moving on to study Greek grammar. Suitable for all ages, child through adult, in homeschools, private schools, colleges, and seminaries.Pronunciation CD included.

This one volume, written especially for homeschooled high schoolers, provides study questions to reflect on while reading the Greek classics. The study questions are simple and aid in comprehension. If you read the questions before reading the related passage, they give you a sense of what to look for, thus helping you stay focused on challenging subject matter. They're also helpful in discussions with an adult afterwards to help make sure that the student has comprehended the book and as starting points for further discussion on important ideas contained in the book. I was grateful to discover that the author has skillfully avoided the all-too-common problem of questions that pre-digest the story for the student or take on a condescending tone. Study materials are included for: Homer's Iliad Homer's Odyssey selections from the Histories of Herodotus History of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides Anabasis: A History of My Times by Xenophon The Oresteian Trilogy by Aeschylus Three Theban Plays by Sophocles The Clouds by Aristophanes Plato's Republic Detailed study questions are included for each segment of each work, and include line numbers to relate easily back and forth between the book and the study guide. There are "Questions for Further Thought" that emphasize certain parts of each book or summarize at the end. These could be starting points for writing assignments as well as fodder for discussion. Answers are included, as are timelines and a pronunciation guide. This resource was written by a very experienced Catholic homeschool mom who has designed the program for ease of use by parents, even those with little knowledge of the classics. The questions reflect an understanding of the concepts and values that make these works worthwhile to Catholic homeschool students of the 21st century.

Hey, Andrew! Teach Me Some Greek! teaches biblical Greek to preschoolers and older students (even adults enjoy it) using a combination of deductive, inductive, and interactive methodology presented in a workbook format. This easy-to-use workbook series requires no prior knowledge of Greek. Upon completing this series, the student will have an understanding of koine (biblical) Greek. This understanding will be demonstrated in reading comprehension and writing skills. In addition, the student will have the tools to pursue his or her own study in the Greek New Testament and can combat incorrect theology based on faulty exegesis. An expanding Greek vocabulary extends the student's English vocabulary through an understanding of roots. Finally, the grammatical structure the student will learn will better prepare him or her to study other foreign languages. This Level 5 Full Text Answer Key is for use with Hey, Andrew! Teach Me Some Greek! - Level 5 Workbook.
