Donald Trump's election as President of the United States shocked the world. How did Trump win? How did a man who ran a campaign of hate, bigotry and lies, who by any standard was not qualified to be President, and who got 2.8 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton, get elected? The media blamed Trump's victory mainly on uneducated, working class White people. Hillary Clinton blamed it on an FBI statement about her emails days before the election. Others blamed it on right-wing bigotry and misinformation. As it turned out, they were all wrong. Based on an analysis of the actual 2016 state-by-state election results, How Donald Trump Won: The Election That Hurt America shows the real reason why Trump won was because of Progressive, Liberals, and Independent voters who ignored the warnings from the polls and voted for third party candidates, who in turn got an atypical vote increase that could've easily surpassed Trump's lead in the key states Hillary Clinton needed to win the Electoral College. In addition to showing the mistakes the Democratic Party and Progressive voters made that allowed Trump to win, the book also shows how to defeat Trump in the 2020 election, thus keeping him from getting reelected and from hurting and dividing America even more.

An intelligent non-partisan explanation of the reasons why Donald Trump won the election On November 8, Donald Trump shocked the world by winning the United States Presidential Election. Almost every poll had him trailing Hillary Clinton and most media thought his defeat was a foregone conclusion. However, he will become the next President of the United States with a decisive victory in the Electoral College, remarkably upsetting Clinton in most of the swing states, especially those located in the Rust Belt. While most media have focused in Trump's inflammatory rhetoric and divisive remarks, there were much deeper reasons why the country chose him as it's new leader which range from the extremely complicated situation of an entire layer of the American society to the Democratic Party blunders during the campaign, to the performance of the media themselves. All of this on an environment of class and racial tension which the United States have slowly developed in recent years. Why should I read this book? Because regardless of your political preferences, the times ahead are going to be intense, and it's better to know what really happened in the past to understand the future. Because this election was one of the most fascinating events in our recent history and describes the struggles of the countries like no other situation in our recent past. Because, if you're a Democrat, you need to understand what went wrong, for history not to repeat itself, and if you're a Republican or a Trumpist, the future will still offer many challenge. And finally, because the country needs healing, and information and understanding will always be a good first step. This book is an agile but in-depth explanation of what happened during the months before the Election and Election Day itself, and it's last chapter offers a glimpse of how a Donald Trump presidency will be in the future.

The 2016 Presidential election will be remembered for years to come not only for producing the biggest upset in the history of American politics, but also for the colorfulness of the primaries of both the Democratic and the Republican parties. When Bernie Sanders, the little-known Independent senator from small state Vermont boldly stated that he was a Democratic Socialist, and then began his race for the White House as a Democratic Party candidate, hardly anyone took him seriously. After all, he was up against the entire Democratic Party machinery and their favored candidate Hillary Clinton. Many people were astounded by the fact that he was taking on the greed and irresponsibility of corporate America and the top wealthy 1 percent. This was on top of the fact that was contesting with very little money, no media support and no political organization to back him up. But he ended up running one of America's most successful campaigns and came close to clinching the Democratic Party nomination after winning the votes of 13 million Democratic Party members in the primaries and caucuses, and after winning twenty-two states. Hillary Clinton became the Democratic Party nominee all right, but she counted enormously on Bernie Sander's support against the Republican Party nominee. The Republican Party primaries turned out to be equally colorful if not more dramatic. With an array of 17 candidates, it was animated indeed. But the star of the process was Donald John Trump, a businessman and television personality with no political experience. He too ran against the media and the political establishment, promised to "Make America Great Again" and tapped the grievances of the population in a manner never seen before. He belittled those elites of his party who threw shots at him, reduced his rivals in the primaries to irrelevancy, and then clinched the nomination to the consternation of the Republican Party establishment, with many of the party's elites openly pledging not to vote for him.Donald Trump cannot win! The media, pundits, pollsters, and scholars told the American people. Yes, it was difficult to imagine that Donald Trump could win against the Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton who had a formidable arsenal of the media, the political establishment, the financial institutions and the big corporations behind her. But he won the election, stunning not only more than half of America, but the clear majority of the people of the world who viewed him as a clown with no mettle. Donald Trump's victory was a feat that could not be attributed to his ingenious campaign alone. In How Donald Trump Won the 2016 Presidential Election and Disarrayed the Political Establishment, Janvier T. Chando tells the story not only of how Donald Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election and how Hillary Clinton lost it, but he also provides a unique insight into the changing America that explains the emotions and ideas transforming the country. The author does so by taking the reader through a jolting ride that has hardly been experienced before. Some call it the start of a political revolution, others call it the setting off an alarm that will resuscitate the political establishment. However, we emerge from reading this book with the feeling that we finally got to understand the epic events that made the 2016 race for the White House a historic election to be remembered for generations to come.

As featured in The Washington Post and Bloomberg! In a factual firsthand account of this turbulent period in our nation’s history, Donald Trump’s 2016 deputy campaign chairman takes us deep behind the scenes to examine the truth about how Trump won, why the Mueller investigation failed, and how the current state of presidential politics is tearing apart the very fabric of our democracy. Rick Gates, who served as Donald Trump’s deputy campaign chairman in 2016 and as a cooperating witness in the Mueller investigation, gives readers a rare, in-depth look at one of the most controversial elections—and presidents—in U.S. history. From a perspective only he can offer, Rick answers the important questions: How was Trump able to beat sixteen high-profile, experienced Republican contenders, and Hillary Clinton, to win in 2016? How did the campaign work? What really happened with Russian election interference and the Mueller investigation? And more. With refreshing candor, Rick shares his story, observations, and facts with the intent that readers form their own opinions and draw their own conclusions. The result is a thought-provoking account that informs and educates readers on both sides of the political aisle as we approach the 2020 election. In up-close detail, Rick takes us through his personal journey to explain how Trump defied the odds, the polls, and even his own party to become the 45th president of the United States. He shares pivotal moments behind the scenes of the campaign and inauguration that have never been shared before, revealing critical decisions and political tactics that explain how Donald Trump was able to upset the entire Republican political establishment and beat a system built on centuries-old traditions. He also shows us how Donald Trump brought his personal brand to the presidency and how, in the end, the political establishment had no choice but to adapt to him—because Trump would never adapt to them. Following the inauguration, Rick was entangled in the Robert Mueller investigation on Russian election interference. In Wicked Game, Rick lifts the veil to detail exactly what happened behind the operations of the Mueller probe, providing the first major account from an insider indicted in the investigation. In the government’s sentencing memo in their case against him, federal prosecutors took the unusual step of praising Rick for his “extraordinary assistance” in their efforts: “Gates has worked assiduously to provide truthful, complete, and reliable information,” they wrote. Which makes it all the more compelling when Rick’s account reveals the inadequacies of our legal system, and how a small group of people in Washington manipulated the political system for their own purposes—undermining our democracy in the process. History has its eyes on America, and as people all over the world try to understand Trump’s presidency in a time of global crisis and uncertainty heading into the 2020 election, Rick’s powerful, firsthand account provides revealing and factual insights that he hopes Republicans and Democrats alike will learn from and apply as our nation moves forward.

It was the election heard round the world: Donald Trump, the New York billionaire real estate developer and entertainer, successfully pulled off the greatest political coup since the Revolutionary War by winning the presidency in 2016. How did he do it? And why does that matter now? It matters because he will do it again in November 2020. In spite of COVID-19, a stock market crash, the near shutdown of the US economy, out of control police officers and out of control rioters, President Trump is poised to win a second term in the White House. And this book will tell you why.The key to Trump's unprecedented electoral success? Disrupting politics as usual and restoring the promise of America to the middle class. As a Black Republican, this is change I welcome, because the brokenness in the American system during my lifetime was chiefly enabled by the Democratic Party. Despite dominating municipal politics in every major American city for several decades straight, the Democratic Party has little to show for it...in terms of Black successes. Their solutions to the everyday problems faced by many Black Americans are always the same. Their plan produces talk but not change. And someone must stand up and say that it does not work. From 1990 to 2015, healthcare, education and real estate prices skyrocketed while salaries stagnated and benefits packages were paired back or cut outright. And that was if you were not one of the millions of American manufacturing workers whose jobs were sent to China or other parts of the globe most Americans cannot find on a map. There was no retraining; there was no recovery. Thank you, NAFTA! Meanwhile, the US military spent trillions of dollars fighting endless wars throughout the twenty-first century with no end in sight. At home, not only did roads, bridges and airports crumble: so did hard working communities under the weight of opiate addiction and spiraling crime. Americans were fed up and the political status quo enabled rather than solved the problem. Enter Candidate Trump.Donald Trump won the first presidential election he ever entered, because more voters in more counties in the United States voted for him than for her. Donald Trump won 32% of votes by Hispanic men and 25% of votes by Hispanic women. Donald Trump won almost 30% of Asian American voters' votes. 13% of Black men who voted chose Trump, but 27% of Black men in the military who voted voted for Trump. All of those people may not be dismissed contemptuously as naive, self-hating dupes as the Left does.In 2020 President Donald Trump is poised to win a second term in spite of the serious challenges our country and society face this time around, because Trump's disruption has worked. It has shown middle class Americans that the bipartisan political elite that grew unspeakably rich through insider connections and other means not available to middle class is vulnerable for takeover.Freedom is unscripted; that is what makes it so exciting. After 25 years of plastic candidates who continued to spout safe political certainties while hard-working middle class Americans kept falling behind, voters in 2016 wanted an unscripted candidate who would tell it like it is. Or at least who would tell it like they wanted it to be. Now that unprecedented candidate is on the verge of a second term to bring even more change to America. Get ready.

How Trump Wins Donald Trump is a winner. Trump is President and he won the election in 2016. However you want to look at it and whatever your opinion, that is a fact. Because it remains an interesting fact, this book shares how Trump wins. And we are qualified to write it because back in April of 2016, we knew that Trump would be the next President. While writing “Donald J. Trump: Do you stand with him? Who does he stand with? The Science and Energy Behind Trump,” we became aware of what Donald Trump was doing and how he was doing it, and shared the science and energy surrounding it all. We didn’t analyze polls, talk to experts, saturate ourselves with the news or get bogged down in anyone else’s interpretations. Because we work with energy, we utilized our own resources, knowledge available everywhere and our own life-long understandings to propel. Since then, we have looked to Election 2020 ahead of anyone else and projected the perfect challenger for Donald Trump. Integrating our energized findings within our podcast series “Oprah! Can You Hear Me? Oprah vs. Donald 2020,” we discuss our interpretations and projections surrounding the energy and the political arena, without being very political. We have been discussing this since 2015, and with the public, via our podcast since 2018. Listen and make your own opinions. Who else asks you to do that? Again, however you want to look at it and whatever your opinion, Trump is President and he won the election in 2016. Without a viable opponent, Trump will win in 2020. Because Trump is a winner. And for the best election to occur, and the best outcome to occur, another winner needs to be his challenger. So, what better person than Oprah, for so many reasons?! This book includes many secrets to Donald Trump’s triumphant nature. What he used in 2016 is still powerful and so much more viable in the landscape he has created today. For this reason, we include the entirety of “Donald J. Trump: Do you stand with him? Who does he stand with? The Science and Energy Behind Trump.” As you watch the ongoing debates and political rallies leading up to the election, enjoy reminiscing how Trump did it in 2016, and see how he is more than capable of doing it again in 2020. This book is not by Trump. When you read his books you are only reading what he wants you to know, think and believe. Trump isn’t going to give you his secret sauce. This book is by us and presents facts and science principles which allow you to make the leap for yourself. It includes many secrets from our podcast series, “Oprah! Can You Hear Me? Oprah vs. Donald 2020,” which contemplate not only the energy of Donald Trump, but also if a viable candidate like Oprah were his opponent. As we all know Oprah, in the White House, would have a new list of favorite things. What might those be? For your entertainment, we also include our satirical “Oprah’s Favorite Things . . . About the Presidency.” This book is an interesting read for anyone who wants to know how Trump wins. It’s simple, it’s smart and it’s available to all of US. Yet, the book is even more intriguing if you allow it to help you contemplate just who could beat him!

The Great Alignment written by Alan I. Abramowitz and has been published by Yale University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-06-19 with Political Science categories.

Alan I. Abramowitz has emerged as a leading spokesman for the view that our current political divide is not confined to a small group of elites and activists but a key feature of the American social and cultural landscape. The polarization of the political and media elites, he argues, arose and persists because it accurately reflects the state of American society. Here, he goes further: the polarization is unique in modern U.S. history. Today’s party divide reflects an unprecedented alignment of many different divides: racial and ethnic, religious, ideological, and geographic. Abramowitz shows how the partisan alignment arose out of the breakup of the old New Deal coalition; introduces the most important difference between our current era and past eras, the rise of “negative partisanship”; explains how this phenomenon paved the way for the Trump presidency; and examines why our polarization could even grow deeper. This statistically based analysis shows that racial anxiety is by far a better predictor of support for Donald Trump than any other factor, including economic discontent.
