Hsing I ( Xsing I ) like you never thought of it;First of all I must give credit as most true practitioner does to the family of internal arts. Hsing I is one of three major internal arts. Tai Chi Chuan is the most popular and most wide spread. The next is Bagua Zhaun that is a beautiful and effective internal art that is the youngest of the three. Then there is our Hsing I Chuan. I am fortunate that in this study I am not going to give a deep history of the origin. There are so many books that can do that for you. But, I am going to share what I found out they leave out. Hsing I is often not viewed as important as Tai Chi and Bague because it is linear (straight up and back) practice and so few westerners stick with it. They under estimate its potential and like so many people of any culture once something cooler or more popular comes along they stop.
