Seeing them happy and thankful was reward in itself, but their immediate affection to us meant even more. Their enthusiasm for their new home was however balanced by their near total lack of discipline. Little did we know at the time that these two dogs, making such a handful of themselves, would soon exceed all of our expectations and dreams by a wide margin. I for one experienced true unconditional love from one of them.
