Fantasy - romanzo breve (45 pagine) - Luce e tenebre, un tempo, erano come due facce della stessa medaglia, gemelle e inscindibili. Ma un giorno, qualcosa cambiò. Tholgar, dio di Gea popola Lemuria, il primo dei tre continenti, dando vita alla razza dei demoni, esseri puri e virtuosi. Dopo mille anni di pace, nascono due gemelli identici; hanno i capelli metà bianchi e metà neri, così come gli occhi e la pelle. Fino a questo momento, nessuno possiede un nome, poiché i demoni non ne hanno bisogno. Ma i genitori dei gemelli, avendo difficoltà a distinguerli, decidono di chiamarli Absu (buio) e Immaru (luce). Nell’istante in cui viene donato loro il nome essi si scontrano, generando una grande esplosione di luce e di tenebra. Quando tutto cessa, i due gemelli sono stesi a terra, uno con pelle, occhi e capelli neri, l’altro invece con pelle, capelli e occhi bianchi. Insieme al nome, inoltre, ognuno di loro sviluppa un potere: Absu riesce a manipolare l’oscurità, Immaru la luce. I due litigano, sempre più spesso, finché i genitori decidono di separarsi portando con sé un figlio ciascuno. Absu attira sempre più oscurità attorno a sé e corrompe gli altri demoni, fondando un suo regno di tenebra sulla sottomissione e la schiavitù. Immaru, nel frattempo, adorato dagli altri demoni, costruisce la città della luce dove crea un esercito per liberare Lemuria dalla crescente oscurità. Immaru parte con la sua armata e giunge fin sotto la dimora del fratello, che lo sfida a duello. Absu accetta, dando così inizio allo scontro mortale tra luce e oscurità, che avrà ripercussioni non solo sui due fratelli, ma su tutta Lemuria e sull’intero popolo dei demoni. Nato a Nocera Inferiore, Ivan Albanese è cresciuto a Roma e fin dall'età di 14 anni ha seguito un percorso artistico. Ha collaborato per alcuni anni con Honiro Label, etichetta indipendente della realtà rap underground romana. Nel 2018, ha aperto con il fratello una società che si occupa di gestire artisti attivi nel panorama musicale italiano, di cui è amministratore. Durante gli anni, si è approcciato al mondo della scrittura prima attraverso testi musicali, poi, con la stesura di brevi racconti. I due demoni, romanzo breve di genere fantasy, è la sua prima pubblicazione.

Byzantine intellectuals not only had direct access to Neoplatonic sources in the original language but also, at times, showed a particular interest in them. During the Early Byzantine period Platonism significantly contributed to the development of Christian doctrines and, paradoxically, remained a rival world view that was perceived by many Christian thinkers as a serious threat to their own intellectual identity. This problematic relationship was to become even more complex during the following centuries. Byzantine authors made numerous attempts to harmonize Neoplatonic doctrines with Christianity as well as to criticize, refute and even condemn them. The papers assembled in this volume discuss a number of specific questions and concerns that drew the interest of Byzantine scholars in different periods towards Neoplatonic sources in an attempt to identify and explore the central issues in the reception of Neoplatonic texts during the Byzantine era. Diretto seguito del romanzo I corsari delle Bermude, la vicenda sembra così aver subito solo una breve pausa. Infatti, mentre la lotta infuriava tra la "Tuonante" e la fregata del Marchese d'Halifax, la bella nave del capitano William Mac-Lellan aveva ricevuto un grave danno: le era stato spezzato l'albero di trinchetto e quindi la sua corsa era stata interrotta e l'odiato marchese aveva potuto prendere il largo. La nave deve perciò tornare a Boston per le riparazioni, ma è di nuovo ben presto pronta a riprendere il mare e a dare battaglia. È pronta per la sua "crociera" ed è tanto più temuta per la presenza, a bordo, di un artigliere abilissimo, Mastro Testa di Pietra, sempre in compagnia del simpatico Piccolo Flocco. Postosi nuovamente sulle tracce del Marchese, riprende con lui la battaglia, furiosa e terribile. Sia la corvetta "Tuonante" che la fregata nemica si incagliano in banchi di sabbia e gli equipaggi si affidano a zattere di fortuna. Navi inglesi raccolgono il Marchese d'Halifax e Mary, che raggiungono così New-York, dove il fratellastro di Mac-Lellan è deciso ad organizzare il suo matrimonio con la fanciulla. L'astuto Testa di Pietra vigila e così il duello decisivo tra Mac-Lellan e il Marchese si svolge nientemeno che nella cappella sotterranea di una chiesa, interrompendo la cerimonia. Il libro si chiude con un affrettata conclusione in cui si accenna alle nozze tra il baronetto e la bella Mary, nello stesso giorno in cui il generale Washington vinse le armate inglesi comandate dal capitano Cadwallari sulla Delavara.
