AI technologies revolutionize recycling processes by offering innovative solutions to the challenges of waste management and resource recovery. By utilizing advanced algorithms, machine learning, and computer vision, organizations may enhance sorting accuracy, optimize logistics, and improve the efficiency of recycling systems. Robotics can identify and separate recyclable materials more effectively than traditional methods, reducing contamination and increasing recovery rates. Predictive analytics can streamline operations by anticipating demand and adjusting processing capabilities. Further exploration into the integration of AI in recycling may increase operational performance while supporting current environmental goals and a circular economy. AI Technologies for Enhancing Recycling Processes explores the influential role technologies play in transforming waste management practices and propelling us towards sustainability. It examines the pressing international issue of waste accumulation and critiques the inadequacies inherent in conventional disposal methods, revealing how advancements such as automation, robotics, and state-of-the-art processing methods can revolutionize our approach. This book covers topics such as environmental science, nanotechnology, and sustainability, and is a useful resource for computer engineers, material scientists, environmentalists, business owners, economists, academicians, and researchers.

This book highlights the latest research findings, innovative research results, methods and development techniques from both theoretical and practical perspectives related to the emerging areas of information networking and their applications. It includes the Proceedings of the 20th International Conference on Network-Based Information Systems (NBiS-2017), held on August 24–26, 2017 in Toronto, Canada. Today’s networks and information systems are evolving rapidly. Further, there are dynamic new trends and applications in information networking such as wireless sensor networks, ad hoc networks, peer-to-peer systems, vehicular networks, opportunistic networks, grid and cloud computing, pervasive and ubiquitous computing, multimedia systems, security, multi-agent systems, high-speed networks, and web-based systems. These networks are expected to manage the increasing number of users, provide support for a range of services, guarantee the quality of service (QoS), and optimize their network resources. In turn, these demands are the source of various research issues and challenges that have to be overcome – and which these Proceeding address.

Persistent Forecasting Of Disruptive Technologies Report 2 written by National Research Council and has been published by National Academies Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-07-02 with Technology & Engineering categories.

The term "disruptive technology" describes a technology that results in a sudden change affecting already established technologies or markets. Disruptive technologies cause one or more discontinuities in the normal evolutionary life cycle of technology. This may lead to an unexpected destabilization of an older technology order and an opportunity for new competitors to displace incumbents. Frequently cited examples include digital photography and desktop publishing. The first report of the series, Persistent Forecasting of Disruptive Technologies, discussed how technology forecasts were historically made, assessed various existing forecasting systems, and identified desirable attributes of a next-generation persistent long-term forecasting system for disruptive technologies. This second book attempts to sketch out high-level forecasting system designs. In addition, the book provides further evaluation of the system attributes defined in the first report, and evidence of the feasibility of creating a system with those attributes. Together, the reports are intended to help the Department of Defense and the intelligence community identify and develop a forecasting system that will assist in detecting and tracking global technology trends, producing persistent long-term forecasts of disruptive technologies, and characterizing their potential impact on future U.S. warfighting and homeland defense capabilities.

Practical Research And Evaluation written by Lena Dahlberg and has been published by SAGE this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-04-22 with Social Science categories.

This book is a starter ′DIY′ text for practitioners who are looking to conduct evaluation studies and research as part of their own professional practice. The growing emphasis on evidence-based practice means that there is an increasing need for practitioners to have at least a basic understanding of research, be aware of methodological pitfalls and to be updated on new methods. This book provides a practical, user-friendly guide to social science research methods for professionals who have benefited from little, if any, formal research methods training but find themselves in a role that requires them to read and understand complex research findings and carry out their own research as part of their professional practice. Practical Research and Evaluation is aimed at practitioners working in education, health, social care and community work. Many in this market are non-graduates or are those whose study did not contain a research element, but are required to know how research works. This book has three main aims which will benefit this audience - to enable readers to carry out small-scale research projects of their own, provide them with the basic understanding necessary to commission research, and enable them to better understand and evaluate critically research reports. This book is designed specifically for ′Do-it-Yourself′ researchers working in the public or voluntary sectors. It is accessible and relevant to practitioners, uses non-technical language wherever possible and employs grounded examples, practical tips, checklists and readings lists throughout.

Rethinking Children S Spaces And Places written by David Blundell and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-22 with Education categories.

How do we understand children and young people's lives in ways that do not rely on nostalgic romantic ideals or demonising prejudices? Can the geographical concepts of space, place and spatiality enhance our understanding of childhood and how children experience their lives as social actors? This book draws on a rich and growing academic literature concerned with the spatiality of childhood and the spaces and places in which children live, learn, work, and play. It examines changing ways of seeing space, place and environment and how these can promote rethinking about children's lives across local and global scales. In common with other texts in the “New Childhoods” series, it asks for a reappraisal of modernity's assumptions about childhood and for a move towards full participation of children and young people in matters that concern us all. Combining critical discussion of theory with examples drawn from research, Rethinking Children's Spaces and Places offers readers a language to facilitate rethinking and catalyse active responses to the challenges of 21st-century childhoods.
