Ihood: Our GPS for Living is an inspirational book for those seeking the answer of why they are here. Based on theology and the social psychology theories of Erik Erikson and Abraham Maslow, it offers the reader an opportunity to examine one's purpose in life, asking: "Am I mainly committed to egoic behavior (self-saturation and materialism) or do I seek to be an instrument of love to others in my life (spiritual behavior)? Unlike any other psychological theory, the premise is that if we are sufficiently 'grown-up' we can achieve expected levels of mature behavior throughout our life and become examples for our children and ultimately serve the world in our unique capacity. If we do not mature, we become 'stuck', unable to progress from egoic, self-serving behavior. In order to 'repair' our situation, we do a fundamental exploration of our life stages, from our birth to advanced age. We will then be able to find our truth and purpose, enabling us to enjoy genuine happiness in our daily lives and for the remainder of our life's journey. After the reader has an understanding of IHood, they will be able to make decisions which will be of great benefit to themselves and mankind. They will be serving "others" and not exclusively their egoic interests. They will be part of the divine revolution to benefit mankind and change the world from "self" to "other" interests. They will be fulfilling their reason for being and answer the age old question "Why am I here?'

Fichte S Moral Philosophy written by Owen Ware and has been published by Oxford University Press, USA this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020 with Ethics categories.

Owen Ware here develops and defends a novel interpretation of Fichte's moral philosophy as an ethics of wholeness. While virtually forgotten for most of the twentieth century, Fichte's System of Ethics (1798) is now recognized by scholars as a masterpiece in the history of post-Kantian philosophy, as well as a key text for understanding the work of later German idealist thinkers. This book provides a careful examination of the intellectual context in which Fichte's moral philosophy evolved, and of the specific arguments he offers in response to Kant and his immediate successors. A distinctive feature of this study is a focus on the foundational concepts of Fichte's ethics--freedom, morality, feeling, conscience, community--and their connection to his innovative but largely misunderstood theory of drives. By way of conclusion, the book shows that what appears to be two conflicting commitments in Fichte's ethics--a commitment to the feelings of one's conscience and a commitment to engage in open dialogue with others--are two aspects of his theory of moral perfection. The result is a sharp understanding of Fichte's System of Ethics as offering a compelling resolution to the personal and interpersonal dimensions of moral life

Liquid Glass Transition written by Toyoyuki Kitamura and has been published by Newnes this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-31 with Science categories.

A glass is disordered material like a viscous liquid and behaves mechanically like a solid. A glass is normally formed by supercooling the viscous liquid fast enough to avoid crystallization, and the liquid-glass transition occurs in diverse manners depending on the materials, their history, and the supercooling processes, among other factors. The glass transition in colloids, molecular systems, and polymers is studied worldwide. This book presents a unified theory of the liquid-glass transition on the basis of the two band model from statistical quantum field theory associated with the temperature Green’s function method. It is firmly original in its approach and will be of interest to researchers and students specializing in the glass transition across the physical sciences. Examines key theoretical problems of the liquid-glass transition and related phenomena Clarifies the mechanism and the framework of the liquid-glass transition

The Self And The Sonnet written by Rajan Barrett and has been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-09-13 with History categories.

The Self and the Sonnet is an interdisciplinary study which considers the sonnet, a near eight hundred year old form, and looks at the historical meanderings and the popularity of the form among cultures that are far removed from the location of its origin in Italy. The book tracks the notion of the self from its Platonic beginnings to the Postmodern, using insights from Charles Taylor, Brian Morris and Calvin O. Schrag so as to work out a model of the self. Jan Patočka’s phenomenological notions of the self and Chaos Theory are important cohesive elements in the composition of this model. A limit point in Mathematics is a point that is not in the set around which all the points cluster. The book looks at the self from the limit points of the body, mind, world and language. It analyzes sonnets which predominantly show a tendency to one of these limit points. However, it keeps in mind the other limit points as possibilities of a comprehensive analysis. The motivation for this body of research comes primarily from the notion of the sonnet being a form that initially exists along with the epic as canonical writers of literary epics also write sonnets. The historic and narrative moment of self in sonnet form calls for a questioning of both the self and the sonnet. The book tries to address the questions: ‘What changes in the notion of self prompt the origin and persistence of the sonnet across cultures?’ and ‘Why and how is this form compatible with a self that is postmodern and global?’ The Anglo-American sonnet, for the most, is addressed but cultures and their attendant forms are also addressed when considering the sonnet. The Arabic zajal, the Persian ghazal, the Chinese sonnet and the Korean Sijo-sonnet are forms that are touched upon along with the Indian postcolonial versions like the forms of the sonnet in Modern Indian Languages such as Bangla, Gujarati and Marathi.

Applied Signal Processing written by Thierry Dutoit and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-06-10 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Applied Signal Processing: A MATLAB-Based Proof of Concept benefits readers by including the teaching background of experts in various applied signal processing fields and presenting them in a project-oriented framework. Unlike many other MATLAB-based textbooks which only use MATLAB to illustrate theoretical aspects, this book provides fully commented MATLAB code for working proofs-of-concept. The MATLAB code provided on the accompanying online files is the very heart of the material. In addition each chapter offers a functional introduction to the theory required to understand the code as well as a formatted presentation of the contents and outputs of the MATLAB code. Each chapter exposes how digital signal processing is applied for solving a real engineering problem used in a consumer product. The chapters are organized with a description of the problem in its applicative context and a functional review of the theory related to its solution appearing first. Equations are only used for a precise description of the problem and its final solutions. Then a step-by-step MATLAB-based proof of concept, with full code, graphs, and comments follows. The solutions are simple enough for readers with general signal processing background to understand and they use state-of-the-art signal processing principles. Applied Signal Processing: A MATLAB-Based Proof of Concept is an ideal companion for most signal processing course books. It can be used for preparing student labs and projects.
