Karenanya, tulisan yang ditampilkan dalam edisi ini merupakan karya dari serpihan mozaik dari berbagai tema tentang masyarakat Madura; perempuan, budaya, dan bahasa. Ke depan, akan hadir seri-seri lain yang berbeda; ekonomi, politik, teknologi, hukum, agama dan seterusnya. Sebagai proyek ambisius, kehadiran karya kecil yang berisikan mozaik pemikiran tentu masih kurang cukup. Kesadaran akan perjalanan panjang yang lelah dan meletihkan dalam membangun peradaban di bumi Madura membuat kami sadar bahwa karya ini belum dan tidak akan pernah selesai. Untuk itu ke depan ikhtiar yang lebih sistematis dan utuh melalui riset dan kajian akan kami lakukan sebagai upaya mengkreasi Madura masa depan. Karenanya meski belum sempurna, tapi sebagai masyarakat akademik, kami percaya bahwa kesempurnaan adalah soal waktu dan pilihan sejarah. Dan tentu kami akan memilih jalan sempurna itu. Akhirnya, meski ide yang tertuang dalam buku ini terkesan liar dan berserakan, buku Madura 2045 seri pertama ini tetaplah memiliki irisan dan perjumpaan di titik temu yang sama; Madura yang khas, unik, dan kaya. Perjumpaan inilah yang akan mengantarkan kita semua kepada Madura 2045.
