The book represents an in-depth investigation of acquisition, cultivation, and transmission of divine mysteries in Jewish apocalyptic and mystical accounts by focusing on the developments found in early Enochic writings. These accounts deal both with revelations unveiled by God and angels to the patriarch Enoch and with illicit transmission of divine knowledge by the rogue group of the fallen angels, known as the Watchers. Orlov argues that the map of otherworldly knowledge revealed to Enoch inversely mirrors the map of illicit revelations given by the fallen Watchers to humankind. The study suggests that one of the possible objectives for the parallelism is that, by revealing to Enoch the same divine mysteries that were earlier transmitted by the Watchers, God attempts to mitigate the corruption caused by the fallen angels’ illicit instructions. Nell'era della comunicazione globale istantanea - l'ufologia, anziché trarre giovamento da un'informazione sempre più libera ed incontrollabile, ha subito un grave danno. Perchè oggi chiunque, nel più assoluto anonimato e senza avere un minimo di preparazione in materia, può impunemente riversare nel Web le informazioni più assurde, i falsi video più spudorati, le storie più inverosimili. Ed è stato così che, all'alba del terzo Millennio, di pari passo con la progressiva apertura di molti archivi governativi e militari, anziché assistere alla morte della «congiura del silenzio» UFO (il sistematico insabbiamento di dati sino all'eliminazione fisica di chi sapeva o diceva troppo), abbiamo visto nascere la «congiura del rumore», vale a dire l'inondazione della Rete con materiale fasullo, al punto che oggi, persino per i ricercatori più esperti, diventa difficoltoso districarsi nella ragnatela di bugie. In quest'opera La Paglia non cedendo alla seduzione degli scoop da Web ricostruisce puntigliosamente quello che fu il substrato bellico e militarista in cui si manifestò per le prime volte in maniera palese il fenomeno UFO: il Ventennio fascista, la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il maccartismo della Guerra Fredda. Fu in quest'ultimo contesto di spie, di caccia alle streghe e di operazioni top secret USA che, nel Paese che ha il più alto numero di servizi segreti, iniziarono a muoversi misteriosi «silencers» dai sistemi spicci e violenti, i fantomatici Men in Black che oggi ispirano film e fumetti; e fu quello il periodo in cui si segnalarono orripilanti mattanze di uomini e animali, con modalità che di convenzionale avevano ben poco. E in barba a ciò, l'Amministrazione americana (presto imitata da quella sovietica) e la scienza ufficiale continuarono a negare, a non vedere, a non sapere. O peggio, a dire di non sapere... Qui interviene l'autore, documenti alla mano, svelando anche la storia dell'ufologia occulta, vale a dire quel rapporto - spesso ignorato - che lega gli UFO alle religioni, siano esse «tradizionali» (come il Cristianesimo e le sue manifestazioni mariane) o «pagane», come lo gnosticismo. Quindi scava a fondo nei segreti militari: dal progetto HAARP alle scie chimiche, dai Governi Ombra alle basi sotterranee; infine, passa al setaccio gli enigmi spaziali di questa e di altre terre, Marte incluso: scoprirete così le molteplici tipologie aliene ed il modus operandi degli E.T. stessi, attraverso rapimenti UFO, sparizioni di feti, ma anche fenomeni di occultamento sottomarino e persino di «luci fantasma" e di «UFO di ghiaccio».
