Questo volume costituisce il primo tentativo di scrivere una storia comparata della presenza dei cattolici nelle Resistenze dei vari paesi europei. Basata su un’ampia storiografia in più lingue e sulla rilettura della stampa clandestina, oltre che di svariate testimonianze, la ricostruzione delle vicende di paesi come Francia, Belgio, Paesi Bassi, Germania e Austria, Cecoslovacchia e Polonia consente di presentare ai lettori italiani figure di uomini e donne talvolta sconosciuti persino agli storici specialisti. L’analisi segue il filo del rapporto tra cattolici, fede religiosa e ricorso alla violenza. In questa prospettiva intende contrastare la tentazione ricorrente di applicare ai cattolici di allora le categorie dell’oggi, come il pacifismo o l’obiezione di coscienza, insieme all’accusa di essere stati imbelli e “attendisti”. L’educazione cattolica di allora non disdegnava infatti di formare anche al dovere militare. Il problema, semmai, era quello della legittima autorità cui obbedire. Queste pagine contribuiscono così a bilanciare la tendenza storiografica che, nel corso degli ultimi decenni, ha posto in primo piano la Resistenza civile, senza armi, a scapito di quella – che pure ci fu – combattente.

What has come to assume the form of seed of glory is an extract from my experience of God in the Holy Spirit. Its a journey that began as a search for meaning and fulfillment in life. I had studied the sacred scriptures for various reasons in the past: to write exams, to give a talk, or just for curiosity to know and acquire knowledge. But this time, I wanted to encounter God on the pages of the sacred writings. Since the Word of God is spirit and life, I desired to encounter the power of the spirit through the written words of God. This was my starting point for my journey with the Holy Spirit. I had very strange experiences that words cannot express. At a point I was commissioned to commit my experiences to writing. That was how I came about the Seed of Glory: Journeying with the Holy Spirit. The work is written in twenty-two chapters. The first chapter deals with Rhema: The Power of the Spoken Word of God; the second chapter presents the Anointing of the Holy Spirit; the third chapter, Teaching with Authority; the fourth chapter, Church Election; the fifth chapter, Forget Ye the Things of the Past (Isa. 43, 1819); the sixth chapter, Mary, the Ideal Mother (Luke 1, 26- 38); the seventh chapter, Jesus in Agony; the eighth chapter, The Paschal Mystery; the ninth chapter, The Power of Authentic Worship of God (John 4, 24); the tenth chapter, The Voice and the Voices; eleventh chapter, A Curse and a Blessing; twelfth chapter, Put on the Whole Armour of God; thirteenth chapter, The Track Route of the Holy Spirit; fourteenth chapter, The Power of Spiritual Connection; fifteenth chapter, Baptism of the Holy Spirit; sixteenth chapter, Gifts of the Holy Spirit; seventeenth chapter, Angels, Archangels, and Guardian Angels; eighteenth chapter, The Gift of Speaking in Tongues and Its Interpretation; nineteenth chapter, 666: The Number of the Beast!; twentieth chapter, Exposing the Jonah in the Boat (Eph. 1020); twenty-first chapter, The Temptation; twenty second chapter, Recovering Our Exalted Position (Joel 2, 2527). It is my hope that my little shared experience of God in this write-up might help shade some light on certain aspects of our human day-to-day experiences in our relationship with God and with one another.

Gesù evidentemente sapeva di questa energia nascosta nella materia e ha usato la sua conoscenza per fare i cosiddetti miracoli. I nostri scienziati moderni dicono che una sola goccia d'acqua contiene abbastanza energia latente da far saltare un edificio di dieci piani. Questa energia, la cui esistenza è stata scoperta dagli scienziati moderni, è lo stesso tipo di energia spirituale che era conosciuta da Elia, Eliseo e Gesù, e utilizzata da loro per compiere miracoli. La scienza sta scoprendo la dinamica miracolosa della religione, ma la scienza non ha ancora compreso il potere direttivo dinamico del pensiero dell'uomo. Tutti i cosiddetti operatori di miracoli affermano di non produrre da soli i risultati meravigliosi; di essere solo gli strumenti di un'entità superiore. Gesù non sosteneva di avere l'esclusivo potere soprannaturale che gli viene solitamente attribuito. Aveva esplorato l'energia eterea, che chiamava il 'regno dei cieli'; la sua comprensione era al di là di quella dell'uomo medio, ma sapeva che altri uomini potevano fare quello che lui faceva se solo ci avessero provato. Incoraggiò i suoi seguaci a prenderlo come centro della fede e ad usare il potere del pensiero e della parola. Chi crede in me, farà anche lui le opere che io faccio; e ne farà di più grandi".. La grande rinascita moderna della guarigione divina è dovuta all'applicazione della stessa legge che usò Gesù. Egli esigeva la fede da parte di coloro che guariva, e con quella fede come punto di contatto mentale e spirituale liberava l'energia latente nella struttura atomica dei suoi pazienti ed essi venivano restituiti alla vita e alla salute. Abbiate fede nel potere della vostra mente di penetrare e liberare l'energia che è repressa negli atomi del vostro corpo, e sarete sbalorditi dalla risposta. Le funzioni paralizzate in qualsiasi parte del corpo possono essere ripristinate all'azione parlando all'intelligenza e alla vita spirituale dentro di loro.
