Il racconto "Il tesoro del Pirata Occhionero" narra la storia di due fratelli, Bill e Bell, che durante la loro esplorazione nel Regno dei Bambini, trovano una parte di mappa antica che sembra portare a un tesoro nascosto. La mappa è stata divisa in tre parti e nascosta in luoghi diversi del regno. La parte rinvenuta dai fratelli dà precise indicazioni sul luogo dove trovare la seconda parte e indica le zone più pericolose che avrebbero trovato lungo il cammino. I due fratelli si mettono subito alla ricerca della seconda parte della mappa e si dirigono verso una caverna buia e spaventosa che si dice essere abitata da un mostro terribile. Durante l'esplorazione della caverna, vengono attaccati da un mostro a tre teste, ma riescono a salvarsi grazie alla loro astuzia. Successivamente, si dirigono verso la Foresta Incantata, dove incontrano diverse creature magiche e attraversano il Ponte degli Innamorati, dove ricevono un omaggio per essersi scambiati un bacio. Infine, seguendo le indicazioni della mappa, i due fratelli riescono a trovare il tesoro del Pirata Occhionero, ma non possono trasportarlo da soli e convincono dei Goblin ad aiutarli in cambio di una lauta ricompensa. Al loro ritorno nel Regno dei Bambini, mettono il tesoro nelle casse comuni per chiunque ne abbia bisogno e destinano una parte alla costruzione di una biblioteca con migliaia di libri di tutti i generi. La biblioteca di Bill e Bell diventa un punto di riferimento per tutti gli abitanti dei regni adiacenti.
