Ho immaginato l’esistenza di una città del futuro, con lo spirito di uno scrittore, unito al fatto verbale di un poeta, su di un pianeta incontaminato, per vedere questo prototipo di città, realizzato da un architetto a quattro mani con un ingegnere, dettando in questo modo un nuovo termine di professione, il chigenieretto alla luce dell’alba dell’anno 2500 e oltre. La fantascienza, si dice, che non ha limiti, io invece sono convinto che il fantasticare abbia un limite, giacché la fantascienza deve anticipare l’evoluzione scientifica, facendo apparire delle immagini mitologiche e non solo utopiche, come un qualcosa che è stato possibile avere nel lontano passato, oppure un qualcosa che potrà essere possibile nel lontano futuro, per suggerire delle possibili anticipazioni scientifiche e quindi di progresso umano. Nel passato diversi scrittori hanno immaginato i terrestri che camminassero sul satellite lunare, altri hanno immaginato la presenza dell’uomo sul pianeta Marte e sovente la fantasia ha prodotto presenze aliene di Marziani che diventassero un vero pericolo per noi terrestri. Il personaggio principale di questo fantastico racconto è il chigenieretto terrestre “Gulliver”, (Chigenieretto starebbe come Simbiosi tra architetto e ingegnere), mentre ”Gulliver” l’avrei importato prendendolo a prestito dalla brillante fantasia di penna dello scrittore inglese “Jonathan Swift”, dal suo libro I Viaggi di “Gulliver”. A tutti è noto l’Irlandese “Swift”, considerato il massimo scrittore inglese del suo tempo e uno dei più grandi scrittori satirici mai esistiti, figlio di genitori inglesi stabilitisi in Irlanda, nato il 30 novembre 1667 a Dublino. Swift perse il padre prima della nascita, mentre la madre faceva ritorno in Inghilterra nel 1673 e “Jonathan” venne lasciato a Dublino presso alcuni parenti, crescendo in condizioni non dissimili a quelle di un orfano. Durante l’infanzia studiò a Kilkenny, poi a Dublino, presso il Trinity College. Nell’anno 1726 produsse il suo capolavoro e romanzo più famoso, I viaggi di “Gulliver”. Il titolo intero era Travels into several remote nations of the world in four parts by “Lemuel Gulliver”..... La storia è quella del medico “Lemuel Gulliver”, che naufraga con la nave mercantile su cui era imbarcato. Si ritrova sull’isola di Lilliput dove tutto, a cominciare dagli abitanti, è grande la quindicesima parte delle persone e degli oggetti che conosciamo. Nella seconda parte “Gulliver” visita Brobdingnag dove il rapporto è rovesciato: lui diventa il trastullo della figlia del re che lo tiene tra i suoi giocattoli. Nella terza parte “Gulliver” visita Laputa e il continente che ha come capitale Lagado: la satira si rivolge contro filosofi, storici e inventori. Nell’isola di Glubdubdrib “Gulliver” evoca le ombre dei grandi dell’antichità e dalle loro risposte ne scopre i vizi e le meschinità. Presso gli Struldrug immortali, si accorge che la massima infelicità degli uomini sarebbe la prospettiva di non porre mai fine al tedio di vivere. Nella quarta e ultima parte la virtuosa semplicità dei cavalli Houyhnhnms è messa in contrasto con la nauseabonda brutalità degli Yahoo, bestie dall’aspetto umano. Non esiste in tutta la letteratura occidentale, una condanna del genere umano, paragonabile a quella espressa nel libro di “Jonathan Swift”. Lo scrittore è riuscito a dare a quest’opera un assoluto equilibrio d’insieme. Il suo aggressivo significato allegorico è accessibile a chi vuole intenderlo, tuttavia non danneggia né il giudizio sulle spettacolari costruzioni fantastiche dell’autore, né la capacità immaginativa del lettore. Di qui l’apparente ironia, e la più crudele ed elaborata satira contro il genere umano.
