Ilara-Mokin Vision 2030 is a 10-year strategic development plan for the Africa City of Hope, Ilara-Mokin, Nigeria. The book lays out the goals for the town and the strategic objectives to achieve the goals.Ilara-Mokin, is a medium-sized town in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State. The town is located about 12 kilometers south-west of the state capital. With a population of about 75,000, Ilara-Mokin is a university town, headed by a traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Aderemi Adefehinti, Agbekorun II. The town is mostly an agrarian community with some private and public schools and several thriving small businesses. The Mokins, as the citizens of this town are fondly called, are characteristically peace-loving, hardworking, and culturally entrenched people. The citizens are so resilient, that the town could be called the "City of Hope". THE NEED FOR A STRATEGIC PLANThe need for a strategic plan, also known as Vision 2030, by this noble town, was conceived in 2019 by the Executive Council of Egbe Omo Ilara-Mokin, led by the President, Mr. Ayodele Fadola. This singular act of patriotism was announced during Mokin Day 2019 celebrations. Vision 2030 committee was met with fanfare on social media because of the big vision of the EGBE and the caliber of members of the committee. However, this will not be the first 10-year development plan by the town. The first ten-year blueprint [strategic plan] ever developed by Egbe Omo Ilara-Mokin was written in 1979, at the inception of the organization. The achievements made thereof, have lend themselves to today's opportunities upon which Vision 2030 is being designed.Members of the committee are as follows:a)Professor Solomon Fakinlede - Chairman b)Professor Emmanuel Olugbenga Fakoya - Secretaryc)Mr. Kayode Adewumi - Assistant Secretaryd)Chief Isaac Ogundari - Membere)Professor Helen Ogunsuyi - Memberf)Professor Festus Mayowa Adebiyi - Memberg)Hon. This book explores the relationships between financial inclusion, poverty and inclusive development from Islamic perspectives. Financial inclusion has become an important global agenda and priority for policymakers and regulators in many Muslim countries for sustainable long-term economic growth. It has also become an integral part of many development institutions and multilateral development banks in efforts to promote inclusive growth. Many studies in economic development and poverty reduction suggest that financial inclusion matters. Financial inclusion, within the broader context of inclusive development, is viewed as an important means to tackle poverty and inequality and to address the sustainable development goals (SDGs). This book contributes to the literature on these topics and will be of interest to researchers and academics interested in Islamic finance and financial inclusion.

This unique book is the only one to discuss various new techniques developed to enhance the application of nanoparticulate drug delivery systems using surface modification of nanoparticles. The understanding of the surface characteristics nano-particles is growing significantly with the advent of new analytical techniques. Polymer chemistry is contributing to the development of many new versatile polymers which have abilities to accommodate many different, very reactive chemical groups, and can be used as a diagnostic tool, for better targeting, for more effective therapeutic results as well as for reducing the toxic and side effects of the drugs. Surface modification of such polymeric nanoparticles has been found by many scientists to enhance the application of nanoparticles and also allows the nano particles to carry specific drug molecule and disease /tumor specific antibodies which refine and improve drug delivery. Surface Modification of Nanoparticles for Targeted Drug Delivery is a collection essential information with various applications of surface modification of nanoparticles and their disease specific applications for therapeutic purposes.

Contemporary Obstetrics And Gynecology For Developing Countries written by Friday Okonofua and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-08-05 with Medical categories.

This book is a comprehensive and easy-to-read guide to obstetrics and gynecology in developing countries. Although significant progress has been made towards the reduction of maternal mortality and morbidity globally, they are still unacceptably high in developing countries. This can be directly or indirectly tied to poor quality maternal health care and lack of access to cost-effective, comprehensive healthcare. Health practitioners in developing countries also contend with trying to keep abreast of recent developments in obstetrics and gynecology while dealing with lack of time, resources, and access to relevant information. This textbook was thus created by experts in obstetrics and gynecology with extensive experience in African clinical settings and consultants in developed countries to teach proper and accurate diagnosis, treatment and management of gynecologic and obstetric health issues within the context of developing countries. This second edition has been fully updated throughout with an added 25+ chapters that cover topics such as reproductive health, gynecological cancers and research methods. The book is divided into six sections: Women’s Reproductive Health; Obstetrics; Medical and Surgical Disorders in Pregnancy; General Gynecology; Gynecological Malignancies; Health Systems Organization, Research Methodology and Biostatistics. These section topics have been carefully covered by expert authors with the use of valid scientific data, policy instruments, and adapted to the cultural and social context of developing countries, with particular in depth coverage of conditions that have greater prevalence and incidence in developing countries. Each chapter also focuses on filling gaps in knowledge with a distinct pedagogical approach, starting with a set of learning objectives and ending with key takeaways for the chapter. This is an ideal guide for residents, medical students, practitioners of obstetrics and gynecology, midwives, general practitioners, and pediatricians, particularly those working in developing companies.

It is the first edition of SCIENCE AND EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE for food world. It gives me great pleasure in bringing out book entitled “ADVANCES IN FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION” for the student of Food Technology, Food Nutrition and all those aspirants who desire to brighten their career in the field of food technology. Our goal is to provide readers with introductory foundation to budding food professionals. I was also well aware that the book is widely used as a basic reference outside the academic environment. I have attempted to take utmost care to cover the particular topic with latest research updates. In this concern I had compiled all the newer areas of food science and nutrition with the older existing knowledge. I also hope to provide insight into the scope of food science for people considering food science as a career. The book chapters introduces and complex interrelationship among food functional properties, processing, distribution and storage. Every chapter has been extensively appropriate and justified with suitable diagrams and tables. Multicolor picture have been also added to enhance the content value and to give the students an idea of what he will be dealing in reality, and to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Chapter 1 It contains an introduction to general aspects which covers the chemical properties for food, nutritional properties of proteins and functional properties of foods. It covers some factors that affect the functionality of protein. The paper discusses the importance of these functions when preparing food formulations. Chapter 2 This chapter is mainly focused on pasting properties of starch. It includes determining its applications in food processing and other industries. Details of the RVA as tool for obtaining information related to apparent viscosity. Pasting properties have been used to predict the end use quality of various products. Chapter 3 Chapter includes the details of various types of phenolic compounds, extraction, significance and antioxidative action of phenolic compounds.
