Este libro es producto de una investigación que convirtió en objetos de estudio la memoria, la oposición y la subjetivación política en el cine argentino y colombiano, pesquisa que se enmarca en los trabajos del grupo de investigación Educación y Cultura Política. A partir de un análisis sobre las implicaciones del quehacer investigativo en la actualidad, el trabajo construye una apuesta epistemológica que entreteje diversos campos, como los estudios culturales, visuales, históricos, etc. Esta publicación muestra cómo los idearios de seguridad nacional, las revoluciones y movimientos insurgentes y contrainsurgentes para la toma o retención del poder se han objetivado y subjetivado en regímenes audiovisuales que se pueden rastrear en producciones cinematográficas de los dos países mencionados. Así, la oposición política identificada en diversas filmaciones es entendida como un tipo fundamental de participación en cualquier país que presuma de ser democrático.

El autor propone la idea de imagen compleja como una nueva forma de pensar las imágenes, dado que las nuevas complejidades de la imagen proponen situaciones híbridas por las que las dos formas de gestión del conocimiento -cultura textual y cultura visual- se alían a favor de la comprensión de una realidad también compleja que no admite las vicisitudes de antiguos paradigmas, como el de la imagen mimética, que han regido la comprensión de lo visual hasta muy recientemente. Como ejemplo concreto de imagen compleja se propone el estudio de la interfaz, entendida como nuevo modelo mental que nos impulsa a pensar de forma distinta las relaciones entre sujeto y objeto y entre espectador e imagen, así como el propio funcionamiento de ésta, investigando el concepto de metáfora visual y proponiendo una alianza entre el saber y la imagen como salida al estancamiento de una cultura atascada en un temor a la imagen de raíces ancestrales pero obsoletas tras más de un siglo de continua y completa visualización de lo real.

The destructive effects of modern industrial societies have shaped the planet in such profound ways that many argue for the existence of a new geological epoch called the Anthropocene. This claim brings into relief a set of challenges that have deep implications for how relations between the human, the material, and the political affect contemporary social worlds. The contributors to Anthropos and the Material examine these challenges by questioning and complicating long-held understandings of the divide between humans and things. They present ethnographic case studies from across the globe, addressing myriad topics that range from labor, economics, and colonialism to technology, culture, the environment, agency, and diversity. In foregrounding the importance of connecting natural and social histories, the instability and intangibility of the material, and the ways in which the lively encounters between the human and the nonhuman challenge conceptions of liberal humanism, the contributors point to new understandings of the capacities of people and things to act, transform, and adapt to a changing world.

El propósito de este libro es analizar las relaciones que se dan entre cultura política, visualidades y cine; este objetivo se desarrollará en tres momentos; en el primero se determinan las implicaciones en la constitución de sujetos y la cultura política contemporánea, en el segundo, el diálogo entre la investigación y la creación artística, con los modelos de producción de conocimiento y saber científico, en el ámbito universitario y finalmente, una subdivisión entre la reflexión del cine a partir de la filosofía y las concepciones de justicia que se expresan o configuran en producciones visuales. Estas cuestiones surgen en virtud de las tensiones que se dan entre la creación en el campo de las artes y la investigación en el campo académico, en este sentido, este libro busca articular de una manera transdisciplinar la filosofía, el arte, los estudios visuales y la educación proponiendo analizar las relaciones que se dan entre sujeto, cultura política y cine. Abstract The purpose of this book is to analyze the relationships that exist between political culture, visualities and cinema; This objective will be developed in three moments; in the first, the implications in the constitution of subjects and contemporary political culture are determined, in the second, the dialogue between research and artistic creation, with the production models of knowledge and scientific knowledge, in the university environment and finally, a subdivision between the reflection of cinema based on philosophy and the conceptions of justice that are expressed or configured in visual productions. These issues arise due to the tensions that exist between creation in the field of arts and research in the academic field, in this sense, this book seeks to articulate in a transdisciplinar y way philosophy, art, visual studies and education proposing to analyze the relationships that exist between the subject, political culture and cinema.
