Modernitatea ne-a prezis in mod optimist posibilitatea omului de a progresa si evolua, precum si increderea in capacitatea ratiunii de a produce libertate si fericire. Astazi, dupa evenimentele majore ale ultimelor decenii, sunt tot mai putini cei care mai cred aceste lucruri. Acesta este motivul pentru care, indiferent daca ne place sau nu, vorbim despre postmodernitate. Lucrarea isi propune sa fie o interogatie asupra religiozitatii omului postmodern. Daca s-a afirmat in ultimul secol disolutia sacrului si a manifestarilor religioase, putem observa la inceputul mileniului III ca religia nu a disparut, ci, dimpotriva, a avut loc o reconfigurare a morfologiei si fenomenologiei religioase intr-o noua religiozitate, postmoderna. O analiza dintre cele mai simple poate evidentia in cultura actuala diversitatea simbolurilor si structurilor discursive, care induc pluralismul cultural si religios postmodern. Cultura si civilizatia imaginii transforma si restructureaza imaginarul religios din temelii, iar mutatiile operate in lumea imaginarului il reconstruiesc dupa chipul si asemanarea lor pe omul postmodern. Lucrarea isi propune sa realizeze un dialog dinamic intre procese istorice complexe desemnate de concepte precum: secularizare, decrestinare, secte si noi miscari religioase, noua religiozitate, ecumenism si reincrestinare. Discursul nostru reprezinta, fara indoiala, si o incercare a omului postmodern de a se intreba despre propria identitate. Flore Dragan, licentiat in istorie, a urmat studii aprofundate de istorie recenta si un masterat specializat in socio-antropologie. A participat la simpozioane, colocvii, conferinte si programe de formare in domeniul istoriei, antropologiei, filosofiei si studiilor religioase. Este director al Liceului Teologic Baptist Emanuel din Cluj-Napoca si doctorand in filosofie in cadrul Facultatii de Istorie si Filosofie, Universitea Babes-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca.
