Have you ever wondered what you would do if you found yourself lost and stranded in the middle of the wilderness on your next hunting trip? The Most Incredible Hunting Stories Ever Told details the intense struggles and the incredible determination to survive of more than ten hunters across the world who found themselves in the kinds of harrowing situations that all hunters fear and dread will never happen to them. You'll read about: ● Jeremy Dickson, who was brutally attacked and mauled by a Grizzly Bear while elk hunting in the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming. ● Dan, a duck hunter who was plunged into the frigid waters of a Minnesota lake when his boat tipped over and found himself trapped under the water. ● Dwight Jones found out the hard way that the treestands hunters often use can be a major safety hazard if you aren't too careful. ● Scott B. was attacked and nearly shredded apart by a pack of wild dogs while taking down his tree stand in the backwoods of Georgia. ● Richard Wesley, a bowhunter who was forced to confront a charging Black Bear with his bow in the forests of Ontario. ● Rick Neuman was furiously attacked underwater by an aggressive Bull Shark while spearfishing in the murky waters off the coast of Florida. These stories are eye-opening and inspirational because of the critical survival lessons that we can learn from each of these hunters. While each of these stories differ from one another in regards to the unique and extraordinary circumstances that these hunters found themselves in, they are all united in one crucial aspect: the sheer perseverance of each hunter who managed to make it out alive.

Hunting: Youve Got to Be Kidding! is my narrative of reaching a major milestone as a hunter. This documentation of my pursuit contains spiritual, financial, emotional, and sometimes humorous excerpts of my hunting career. Why do I hunt? Im pressed for an answer to this question daily because my lifes passion is on public display. Trophys Steakhouse, which Becky and I own, provides an atmosphere of exuberance and a forum to promote hunting. Museum would describe Trophys much closer than steak house, as the restaurant is enriched with the rewards of twenty years of successful trophy collection. Our customers are both hunters and nonhunters who appreciate the hunting theme and dont require an answer to the question. Invariably, I must provide a detailed explanation to a select few as to why I havent changed from a hunter-gatherer to the modern rendition of a man. My respect for wild animals complicates my answer. Our genetic engineering by God places us as masters of animal and plant life, both of whom are alive and function to nourish us. Therefore, my answer is because I am pursuing a bred-in instinct to hunt and gather as our ancestors did for a millennium. I am proud to have this genetic makeup. I continue to preserve Gods creatures by being part of the hunting community. Hunters generously contribute time and money to increase habitat for wild animals while at the same time protect hunters rights. I have achieved my hunting goals because of the contributions of hunters!

American Hunter is an amazing compilation of the history of America’s greatest hunters. As Teddy Roosevelt put it, “The virility, clear-sighted common sense and resourcefulness of the American people is due to the fact that we have been a nation of hunters and frequenters of the forest, plains, and waters.” It’s about time we honor American hunters with a book that tells their incredible stories of skill, courage, and survival. Classic Hunting Tales written by Vin T. Sparano and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-11-24 with Sports & Recreation categories.

No matter when and where it’s done, the love—and dangers—of hunting will always remain. For more than forty million Americans who hunt, here is the ideal companion. Vincent T. Sparano, a lifelong devotee of hunting stories—and himself a hunter—presents these timeless tales, each a thrilling account of man and beast. Twenty-five stories reveal the adventure, the spirit, the fear, and the danger involved in hunting—from the truly terrifying “The Croc That Wouldn’t Die” to the nearly unbelievable “Nightmare Hunt,” in which a hunter is mauled by bears, and survives. There are tales of tigers and rams, of deer and cougars. There is the classic story of a moose hunt in the wilds of Alaska in 1897. But another side to hunting is also here—the camaraderie, the friendship, and the responsibility of one hunter for another. Throughout the book runs a constant theme: the loyalty of men sharing a common goal. And within that framework is another loyalty of the hunter and his dog. No collection of hunting stories would be complete without a selection that skillfully and touchingly portrays the feelings between human and animal. And no story reveals it with more dignity than “Nat’s Dog.” A full collection covering the range of stories and experiences of hunters, Classic Hunting Tales gives keen insight to the outdoors and all who dwell there. Skyhorse Publishing is proud to publish a broad range of books for hunters and firearms enthusiasts. We publish books about shotguns, rifles, handguns, target shooting, gun collecting, self-defense, archery, ammunition, knives, gunsmithing, gun repair, and wilderness survival.
