Bereichsübergreifende Informations- und Kommunikationssysteme sind ein zentraler Pfeiler der aktuellen industriellen Restrukturierungsprozesse. Diese Technologien sind ein Kristallisationspunkt für neue Formen der System- und Sozialintegration, die auf Vertrauen und Kontrolle beruhen. Die neuen Integrationsmuster werden in langwierigen mikropolitischen und mikrokulturellen Aushandlungsprozessen sozial konstruiert - ein Prozeß, der auch von nationalen Arbeits- und Managementkulturen geprägt wird. Auf der Grundlage von elf Fallstudien in der französischen, italienischen und westdeutschen Bekleidungs- und Elektronikindustrie können expertokratisch-zentralistische und dezentral-partizipative Informatisierungskonzepte unterschieden werden. Die beschriebenen nationalen Muster betrieblicher Steuerungskonzepte können durch unterschiedliche Strukturierungsformen technischen Wissens und durch unterschiedliche Muster industrieller Beziehungen erklärt werden.

Im Sinne des Kulturverstandnisses von Hofstede, ist Kultur mit mentalen Programmen gleichzusetzen, die im Laufe des Lebens als Muster des Denkens, Fuhlens und Handelns erlernt werden. Deutschland stellt dabei eine stark maskulin' gepragte Gesellschaft dar, was sich einerseits in der allgemeinen Norm nieder schlagt, dass materieller Erfolg und Fortkommen vorherrschende Werte darstellen. Andererseits lasst sich mit Blick auf den Arbeitsplatz eine starke Karriereorientierung feststellen, die sich in dem Motto man lebt um zu arbeiten' widerspiegelt. Die Zukunft der Arbeit ist daher ein aktuelles Thema, das sich mit dem Wandel von Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft, d.h. dem Wandel der Technologie, des Arbeitsmarktes und der Arbeitsorganisation beschaftigt. Eine Veranderung lasst sich beispielsweise als Wandel der Arbeitskraftestruktur herausstellen, was im Anwachsen verschiedener Formen der Informationsarbeit beobachtbar ist. Mit Fokus auf die Erzeugung und Nutzung von Informationen wird das Veranderungsausmass deutlich, wenn man an den Computer denkt, der heutzutage als selbstverstandliches' Arbeitsmittel nicht mehr weg zu denken ist. Die folgende Arbeit beschaftigt sich - vor dem Hintergrund der Informatisierung von Arbeit - mit der Transformation und Neuentstehung von Erfahrungswissen. Dazu erfolgt zunachst eine Darstellung des allgemeinen Konzeptes der Informatisierung. Anschliessend wird die Transformation und Neuenstehung von Erfahrungswissen erlautert und mit dem allgemeinen Konzept in Bezug gestell
