Questo libro contiene tre opere separate, e molto importanti, che descrivono in dettaglio il pensiero e la pratica buddista tantrica tibetana: Sette Rituali d'Iniziazione del Tantra Tibetano, I Sei Yoga di Naropa, e Il Voto di Mahamudra. Questi sono stati tradotti ed editati da Musés assistito da monaci tibetani in esilio da manoscritti nella Biblioteca del Congresso. Ci sono alcuni passaggi molto strani qui. C'è la misteriosa profezia di Mi-Gyur-Dorje che si trova in uno dei manoscritti tra i rituali di iniziazione, che racconta di un lontano futuro in cui il Tibet sarà distrutto e perseguitato dai demoni. Naropa racconta lo Yoga di entrare nel corpo di un altro (che può essere usato per rianimare un cadavere!). Naropa discute anche a lungo quello che noi chiamiamo sogno lucido, ma che lui chiama La pratica del corpo illusorio.

Naropa parla dello Yoga di entrare nel corpo di un altro, che può essere addirittura praticato per rianimare un cadavere. Naropa discute anche a lungo di ciò che chiamiamo ''sogno lucido'', ma che egli chiama ''La Pratica del Corpo Illusorio''. Questi testi vengono considerati come gli scritti primari e fondamentali del Tantra Tibetano.
