It's a book about hope! It's a book about encouragement and inspiration! It's a book about running the race and finishing strong! Inspired by and Dedicated To is Doug Dials latest work, which is overflowing with stories and poetry of inspiration, encouragement, and hope. Thirty-five of the authors friends and acquaintances are highlighted in this manuscript. Each chapter begins with a brief encounter into the lives of one of Doug's friends. What follows are stories and poems with uplifting, encouraging, and heartfelt messages. The stories and poetry contain a variety of subject matter including peace in the midst of the storm, dealing with grief, faith, hope, love, courage, and a host of other uplifting topics. Doug is related to some of these people. Others are former classmates. Many have mentored and trained him in the Word of God. Several, he has had the privilege of teaching in a church or school setting. Some, he has known for years; others, he has met only recently. All of them, however, hold a very special place in this author's heart. You will laugh. You will cry. You will identify with many of the people, and you will be inspired!

A guide to staying creatively curious in your own life, written by Brandon Stosuy (cofounder of The Creative Independent), with quotes and advice from artists across disciplines The second in a series of three guides dedicated to the practical and emotional sides of living a creative life, Stay Inspired explores how to grow an idea into a project and how to keep the spark of creativity present in your daily life. This guide poses a series of questions on themes of tapping into your own story and circumstances of inspiration, identifying your influences, finding inspiring communities, and initiating partnerships and collaborations. Working artists from all walks of life—musicians, authors, filmmakers, dancers, designers, and visual artists—offer their responses to the questions posed throughout the book, providing an inspirational framework for discovering new ideas, channeling your influences, and making work in conversation with others. Part memoir, part zine, part "how-to," and oral history, in Stay Inspired, author and curator Brandon Stosuy taps into an incredible network of talent to provide diverse (and diverging) perspectives on how creativity can be inspired and channeled into your independent work, collaborations, and communities. The concept of inspiration is part and parcel of the theological tradition in several religious confessions, but it has largely receded to the background, if not vanished altogether, in the discussions of biblical scholars. The question "Do we still need inspiration?" might well reflect the perplexity of many exegetes today. Systematic theologians, for their part, often further their own reflections on the subject independently of developments in the field of exegesis, with the risk of remaining purely theoretical. Biblical research in the last decades has been marked by new insights about the nature of the biblical texts, stemming from the study of their inner plurality (insofar as they combine and sometimes intertwine conflicting theologies), of their textual fluidity, and of their reception. Can these new insights be integrated into a theological reflection on the notion of inspiration? These questions are often explicitly raised about the Jewish and Christian Scriptures, but they also prove increasingly relevant for Qur’ānic studies. This volume addresses them through contributions from exegetes of the Bible and of the Qur’an and systematic theologians.

Whether you’re an early stage startup working to get to product/market fit, or a growth-stage company working to scale your product organization, or a large, long-established company trying to regain your ability to consistently deliver new value for your customers, INSPIRED will take you and your product organization to a new level of customer engagement, consistent innovation, and business success. Filled with the author’s own personal stories—and profiles of some of today’s most-successful product managers and technology-powered product companies, including Adobe, Apple, BBC, Google, Microsoft, and Netflix—INSPIRED will show you how to turn up the dial of your own product efforts, creating technology products your customers love.
