Elements Of Classical And Quantum Integrable Systems written by Gleb Arutyunov and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-08-15 with Science categories.
Integrable models have a fascinating history with many important discoveries that dates back to the famous Kepler problem of planetary motion. Nowadays it is well recognised that integrable systems play a ubiquitous role in many research areas ranging from quantum field theory, string theory, solvable models of statistical mechanics, black hole physics, quantum chaos and the AdS/CFT correspondence, to pure mathematics, such as representation theory, harmonic analysis, random matrix theory and complex geometry. Starting with the Liouville theorem and finite-dimensional integrable models, this book covers the basic concepts of integrability including elements of the modern geometric approach based on Poisson reduction, classical and quantum factorised scattering and various incarnations of the Bethe Ansatz. Applications of integrability methods are illustrated in vast detail on the concrete examples of the Calogero-Moser-Sutherland and Ruijsenaars-Schneider models, the Heisenberg spin chain and the one-dimensional Bose gas interacting via a delta-function potential. This book has intermediate and advanced topics with details to make them clearly comprehensible.

40 Years In Mathematical Physics written by L. D. Faddeev and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1995 with Science categories.
This is a collection of Prof L D Faddeev's important lectures, papers and talks. Some of these have not been published before and some have, for the first time, been translated from Russian into English. The topics covered correspond to several distinctive and pioneering contributions of Prof Faddeev to modern mathematical physics: quantization of Yang?Mills and Einstein gravitational fields, soliton theory, the many-dimensional inverse problem in potential scattering, the Hamiltonian approach to anomalies, and the theory of quantum integrable models. There are also two papers on more general aspects of the interrelations between physics and mathematics as well as an autobiographical essay.

In many ways the last decade has witnessed a surge of interest in the interplay between theoretical physics and some traditional areas of pure mathematics. This book contains the lectures delivered at the NATO-ASI Summer School on `Recent Problems in Mathematical Physics' held at Salamanca, Spain (1992), offering a pedagogical and updated approach to some of the problems that have been at the heart of these events. Among them, we should mention the new mathematical structures related to integrability and quantum field theories, such as quantum groups, conformal field theories, integrable statistical models, and topological quantum field theories, that are discussed at length by some of the leading experts on the areas in several of the lectures contained in the book. Apart from these, traditional and new problems in quantum gravity are reviewed. Other contributions to the School included in the book range from symmetries in partial differential equations to geometrical phases in quantum physics. The book is addressed to researchers in the fields covered, PhD students and any scientist interested in obtaining an updated view of the subjects.

The book is an introduction to quantum mechanics at a level suitable for the second year in a European university (junior or senior year in an American college). The matrix formulation of quantum mechanics is emphasized throughout, and the student is introduced to Dirac notation from the start. A number of major examples illustrate the workings of quantum mechanics. Several of these examples are taken from solid state physics, with the purpose of showing that quantum mechanics forms the common basis for understanding atoms, molecules and condensed matter. The book contains an introductory chapter which puts the concepts of quantum mechanics into a historical framework. The solid-state applications discussed in this text include the quantum Hall effect, spin waves, quantum wells and energy bands. Other examples feature the two-dimensional harmonic oscillator, coherent states, two-electron atoms, the ammonia molecule and the chemical bond. A large number of homework problems are included.

The quantum inverse scattering method is a means of finding exact solutions of two-dimensional models in quantum field theory and statistical physics (such as the sine-Go rdon equation or the quantum non-linear Schrödinger equation). These models are the subject of much attention amongst physicists and mathematicians. The present work is an introduction to this important and exciting area. It consists of four parts. The first deals with the Bethe ansatz and calculation of physical quantities. The authors then tackle the theory of the quantum inverse scattering method before applying it in the second half of the book to the calculation of correlation functions. This is one of the most important applications of the method and the authors have made significant contributions to the area. Here they describe some of the most recent and general approaches and include some new results. The book will be essential reading for all mathematical physicists working in field theory and statistical physics.
