Im Zuge der Einfuhrung von Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) in Osterreich, wird der Fokus vermehrt auf die Implementierung von erforschten Modellen und Konzepten, hinsichtlich der Optimierung der Praxis, gelegt. Eine klar definierte Aufgabe von Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) ist es, eine Praxis zu entwickeln, die auf aktuellen, Evidenz-basierten Forschungserkenntnissen beruht. Diese sollen ebenso in das Gesundheitsmanagement und die professionelle Pflege eingebunden werden. Advanced Nursing Practice soll sich der Forschung bedienen, um die pflegerische Betreuung zu verbessern. Auch der Bereich der Edukation in der Pflege ist gerade fur Advanced Practice Nurses ein wichtiges Arbeitsfeld. Viele Frauen ergreifen diese Berufswahl erst eher spat. Wenn sie diese Wahl aber aus eigener Motivation heraus treffen, dann sind sie hochmotiviert die Ausbildung erfolgreich abzuschliessen. Die vorliegende Studie analysiert, wie die Motivation zur Wahl einer Ausbildung im Zusammenhang mit dem Engagement wahrend der Ausbildung steht. Das Phanomen intrinsischer Motivation der interviewten Teilnehmerinnen der Heimhilfeausbildung soll erfasst und anschliessend denkbare Unterstutzungsmoglichkeiten durch Advanced Nursing Practice im Bereich der Edukation dargelegt werden."

Jegliche Abläufe im Leben sind aufgrund von Motivation geprägt. Ohne diesen Antrieb würde jedes Lernen nicht sinnbegreifend erfolgen. Eine sichere Kompetenzentwicklung wäre fraglich. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, das Phänomen intrinsische Motivation bei Teilnehmerinnen in der Ausbildung zur Heimhilfe im Alter zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren zu erfassen und darzustellen. Ebenso soll gezeigt werden wie Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) den Unterricht bereichern kann. Unterstützungsmöglichkeiten in der Ausbildung durch ANP sollen beschrieben werden. Die Forschungsarbeit umfasst zwei Teile, im ersten Teil wurde eine Literaturrecherche hinsichtlich intrinsischer und extrinsischer Motivation sowie Advanced Nursing Pracitce durchgeführt. Dies dient der Begriffsdefinition, des vertieften Verständnisses für Motivation und der Formulierung der Forschungsfragen für die Empirie. Der zweite Teil ist eine empirische Studie. Es wurden insgesamt sieben qualitative Interviews durchgeführt und analysiert. Vier Interviews mit Teilnehmerinnen, die die dafür erforderlichen Kriterien erfüllten und drei Interviews mit Experten. Diese Experten sind Advanced Practice Nurses, die in der Lehre aktiv tätig sind. Die Auswertung erfolgte nach Mayring. Es wurden Kriterien identifiziert, die im Zusammenhang mit der Motivation dieser Teilnehmerinnen standen. Diese Kriterien wurden beschrieben und analysiert. Die Auswertung zeigt, dass die Motivation der Teilnehmerinnen intrinsisch und extrinsisch zusammenspielt und unter gewissen Bedingungen gefördert werden kann. Allerdings ist intrinsische Motivation nur bedingt beeinflussbar, da diese immer vom Individuum selbst ausgeht. Advanced Nursing Practice kann aufgrund eines vertieften Praxiswissens auf einen erweiterten Methoden-Pool zugreifen. Dies kann positiv motivational eingesetzt werden und den Unterricht aktiv bereichern. Es bedarf allerdings weiterer Studien in Österreich um diese Einflüsse genauer zu betrachten, zu vergleichen und aufzuzeigen.
