For every problem, mathematical or otherwise, there is more than one approach and much depends on the ingenuity of the person concerned. Consider that a person is interested in picking some fruit from a tree and is considering multiple picking options. One possibility is, if one can reach the fruit, just snip it to retrieve it. The second possibility is to alternatively apply force and detach the fruit from the tree. If neither option is possible, the fruit can still be detached from the tree, but how? A third possibility lies in the fact that just holding on to the fruit and turning it in one direction it can be picked. Similarly, many possibilities are seen by keen eyes while solving a mathematical problem. The reconstruction approach applied in this book is like the third possibility of holding a fruit and turning it in one direction until the desired solution is obtained. This book is an introduction to reconstruction concepts and their applications for solving some network optimization problems. Networks are a mathematical abstraction of a given physical situation, which are described by using nodes, links (directed or non-directed) and link weights defining some associated properties of that physical system. Reconstruction ideas exploit the mathematical structure of a particular problem and find ways to reach the required solution. It is hoped that these ideas will be explored for other mathematical structures. The authors have developed many methods to find optimal solutions for these network related problems and they observed that various methods discussed in 8 chapters have a common thread of reconstruction, which unites them, and that aspect motivated authors to develop this book.

Introducing Silverlight 4 brings you up to speed with version 4 of Silverlight quickly and efficiently. The book builds off your understanding of the basics of .NET coding and WPF, allowing your journey to Silverlight 4 proficiency to be as quick and painless as possible. The text highlights where coding techniques are similar to other, more established areas of the .NET framework. Likewise, when your existing coding habits lead you to a syntax or conceptual ’gotcha,’ the text points that out, too. This book provides you with fast-track coverage of all the most important elements of the Silverlight 4 technology ranging from XAML to standard controls, from dealing with media to networking, from testing to deployment. It also reveals features introduced with Silverlight 4 and offers guidance on how to best utilize them. The book concludes with a pair of fully worked sample applications for you to follow through, because nothing reinforces your understanding of how concepts fit together as much as looking at finished code. It is assumed that readers are already be comfortable with the workings of the .NET framework. Knowledge of Expression Blend is useful, but not mandatory: you’ll learn the Blend techniques that you need to know as you go through the book. By the end, you will have followed a sound, concise path to mastery of Silverlight 4.

An Introduction To Neural Network Methods For Differential Equations written by Neha Yadav and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-02-26 with Mathematics categories.
This book introduces a variety of neural network methods for solving differential equations arising in science and engineering. The emphasis is placed on a deep understanding of the neural network techniques, which has been presented in a mostly heuristic and intuitive manner. This approach will enable the reader to understand the working, efficiency and shortcomings of each neural network technique for solving differential equations. The objective of this book is to provide the reader with a sound understanding of the foundations of neural networks and a comprehensive introduction to neural network methods for solving differential equations together with recent developments in the techniques and their applications. The book comprises four major sections. Section I consists of a brief overview of differential equations and the relevant physical problems arising in science and engineering. Section II illustrates the history of neural networks starting from their beginnings in the 1940s through to the renewed interest of the 1980s. A general introduction to neural networks and learning technologies is presented in Section III. This section also includes the description of the multilayer perceptron and its learning methods. In Section IV, the different neural network methods for solving differential equations are introduced, including discussion of the most recent developments in the field. Advanced students and researchers in mathematics, computer science and various disciplines in science and engineering will find this book a valuable reference source.

An Introduction To Grids Graphs And Networks written by C. Pozrikidis and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-02-17 with Mathematics categories.
An Introduction to Grids, Graphs, and Networks aims to provide a concise introduction to graphs and networks at a level that is accessible to scientists, engineers, and students. In a practical approach, the book presents only the necessary theoretical concepts from mathematics and considers a variety of physical and conceptual configurations as prototypes or examples. The subject is timely, as the performance of networks is recognized as an important topic in the study of complex systems with applications in energy, material, and information grid transport (epitomized by the internet). The book is written from the practical perspective of an engineer with some background in numerical computation and applied mathematics, and the text is accompanied by numerous schematic illustrations throughout. In the book, Constantine Pozrikidis provides an original synthesis of concepts and terms from three distinct fields-mathematics, physics, and engineering-and a formal application of powerful conceptual apparatuses, like lattice Green's function, to areas where they have rarely been used. It is novel in that its grids, graphs, and networks are connected using concepts from partial differential equations. This original material has profound implications in the study of networks, and will serve as a resource to readers ranging from undergraduates to experienced scientists.

An Introduction To Communication Network Analysis written by George Kesidis and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-08-24 with Computers categories.
A self-contained text on modeling and performance evaluation of communication networks This quantitative book focuses on the real issues behind modeling and analysis of communication networks. The author covers a wide variety of topical networking subject matter based on the provided background material in probability, Markov chains, and queues. Leveraging this material, the author explores topics in local multiplexing and routing over three successive chapters, stressing both continuous-time and discrete-time contexts. The remaining chapters focus more directly on networking, such as traffic shaping and multiplexing, static routing, dynamic routing, and peer-to-peer file sharing systems. Providing more rigorous and technically deep coverage than most commonly used networking textbooks, An Introduction to Communication Network Analysis covers classical (e.g., queuing theory) and modern (e.g., pricing) aspects of networking in a clear, accessible manner. Chapters include: * Review of Elementary Probability Theory * Markov Chains * Introduction to Queuing Theory * Local Multiplexing * Queuing Networks with Static Routing * Dynamic Routing with Incentives * Peer-to-Peer File Sharing with Incentives Appendices include additional background information, solutions, and references for selected problems, making this an invaluable text for graduate-level students and networking researchers alike.
