Issac Jessup, a man from Earth creates the world Hytrae on the outer edge of our expanding universe. The King's Whisper is Isabelle's story as given to her by Isaac that finds its roots in the desire of an atheistic ancestor of the Nytrez family to establish the tradition of a faith run across the salt plain of Shilom by every male Nytrez. The last Nytrez, Doyen has refused to make the run. However he succumbs to his dying grandfather's wish and promises to make the run. No Nytrez has ever finished the run without help and Doyen is no exception. Faced with the choice to either return to his father or move to a higher dimension that would condemn his father to eternal misery he returns and finds his choice has positioned him to fulfill the ancient Cepshire prophecy of Hytrae's end-time and only predestined king. Doyen's life becomes a mix of balancing moments of freewill with predestined obligations. As the predestined path unfolds all Hytraen's find they must choose to follow Doyen or Soroff Baejon. Soroff believes he has found the way to immortality in a Senine Fishermen's Legend. The legend claims the souls of fishermen who die at sea enter Locsoldrn to await the Day of Judgment. Locsoldrn is the internationally protected holy mist that rides the tail end of the migrating, equatorial ocean, The Melissma. Soroff begins constructing resurrection chambers where all can enter freely to die once and live forever. Political boundaries are erased by migrations to enter the few resurrection chambers that have been constructed. A one world government of immortals seems eminent. What Soroff isn't aware of is the Presidium, a race of beings who have been feeding on the souls and spirits of decadent men and women, and have constructed a city on the back side of the Hytraen moon, Patience. Soroff's resurrection chamber has opened the way for them to place one of their own at the pinnacle of power. Negotiations between Soroff and The Presidium are anything but. Once you've read Introrse you will understand reality for sentient beings is not limited to good and evil. There are also the wicked that must be faced by those who make the mistake of choose wrongly.

The Melissma Sea migrates on Hytrae's equatorial Salt Plain of Shilom, spending two years as sole but temporary property of three politically diverse provinces. At her leading edge, the massive Storm Zone's fresh water dissolves old salt while in her shallow quiet evaporation zone, she returns the cleansed salt back to Shilom. The Naweci call the sea the Dissolver of Doubts and the salt plain the Peace Maker and teach their children the two form a holy union as is the marriage of truth and men. Fishermen swear the souls of those who die at sea are captured in the holy mist Locsoldrn, a mysterious cloud legend squeezed from the Melissma when she tasted the blood of man's first violence against man. The silent lightning within Locsoldrn is, they say, the souls of the dead warning of the Day of Judgment. The Melissma is crossing the border into Ides. The Merchant Prince of Ides, Soroff Baejon, has discovered the mist can be used to resurrect the recently deceased. He assumes die once and live forever. Baejon prophesies his emperor will be assassinated at the Idean Onset celebration and, in two days, live again to lead Hytrae's race of mortals into immortality. Never do men know all the consequences of even their smallest endeavors. The wicked come only like a feather on a breeze, gently upon the mind as in a dream until men step into their domain or invite them into theirs. Baejon believes he can merge the two dimensions to his advantage. This he declares Hytrae's Singularity.

For several decades botanists have been impressed by the discovery that the distribution of secondary plant substances follows the general lines of plant relationships. However, it soon became clear that little was to be gained from the study of individual compounds and their natural distribu tion. Therefore, more comprehensive studies were attempt ed in which the secondary chemistry of a major plant group was carefully studied and evaluated in the broader context of comparative phytochemistry. Holger Erdtman's admir able work on Coniferae is the foremost example of this kind. Since then, there has been an upswing in the study of the biosynthesis of secondary plant substances and it has become quite customary to make use of biosynthetic knowledge in interpreting chemosystematic evidence. More over, since taxonomists have insisted that use be made of all potentially available evidence for building classifications, it has been claimed that chemosystematics too should con sider the whole array of constituents present in a major taxon. However, in practice it has proved difficult to utilize fully the potential of natural product chemistry and biosynthetic studies for plant systematics and evolution, because bota nists found themselves rather disorientated by the scattered, often hardly accessible chemical literature and the fact that the chemical evidence was difficult for them to evaluate!
