Intuition-Ein neuer Erklärungsansatz für das Handeln von SozialarbeiterInnen? Diese Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Fähigkeit des Menschen zur intuitiven Wahrnehmung. Dabei wird die Intuition allgemein wissenschaftlich aufbereitet und der praktische und theoretische Bezug zur sozialen Arbeit wird untersucht. Der Allgemeine Teil umfasst die Definition und Beschreibung des Phänomens Intuition. Hierbei wird darauf wert gelegt, dass die Intuition im wissenschaftlichen wie im praktischen Sinne erfasst wird und eine Bestimmung des Wesens der Intuition erfolgt. Die Begründung zur Intuitionsfähigkeit im menschlichen Organismus wird untersucht, sowie eine kritische Betrachtung des Wahrheitsgehaltes von Intuition findet statt. Intuitionstheorien in Bezugswissenschaften der sozialen Arbeit runden den allgemeinen Teil ab und führen zur sozialen Arbeit über. Im zweiten Teil wird der praktische und theoretische Bezug zur sozialen Arbeit hergestellt. Beleuchtet wird, ob der Gebrauch der Intuition in der sozialen Arbeit widersprüchlich zur Professionalisierungsdebatte ist, beziehungsweise inwiefern Theoretiker der sozialen Arbeit die Intuition bewerten. Es wird geprüft ob die Vereinbarkeit von Intuition und Professionalität in der sozialen Arbeit gegeben ist. Der Bezug zur Praxis wird durch eine quantitative Befragung von sozial arbeitenden Personen hergestellt. Untersucht werden die Anwendung und der Nutzen der Intuition in der Praxis, die Bewertung der Intuition von SozialarbeiterInnen und SozialpädagogInnen, und die Fähigkeit zur Intuition als soziale Intelligenz.

Mitunter wird der Versuch unternommen, bereits bestehende, etablierte Pflegetheorien auf das pflegerische Hospizgeschehen zu übertragen, was häufig nur in Ansätzen gelingt. Das hier vorliegende ́Pflegemodell für stationäre Hospize' stellt nun erstmals einen theoretischen Bezugsrahmen für die palliative Pflege und Betreuung in einem stationären Hospiz dar. Dieser Bezugs- oder Handlungsrahmen gibt jedoch keine normativen Strukturen vor, sondern eröffnet theoriegeleitete Räume, die es ermöglichen, dem Sterbenden in der konkreten Pflegehandlung situativ, individuell, flexibel und intuitiv zu begegnen.

In this monumental book, sociologist Robert Castel reconstructs the history of what he calls "the social question," or the ways in which both labor and social welfare have been organized from the Middle Ages onward to contemporary industrial society. Throughout, the author identifies two constants bearing directly on the question of who is entitled to relief and who can be excluded: the degree of embeddedness in any given community and the ability to work. Along this dual axis the author locates virtually the entire history of social welfare in early-modern and contemporary Europe.This work is a systematic defense of the meaningfulness of the category of "the social," written in the tradition of Foucault, Durkheim, and Marx. Castel imaginatively builds on Durkheim's insight into the essentially social basis of work and welfare.
