C’est un « Baqueux », l’un de ces flics que l’on envoie au charbon dès que « L’ordre républicain » est menacé. D’abord confronté à la délinquance urbaine, puis volontaire pour intégrer une Brigade Anti-Criminalité (BAC), Michel se voit propulsé au milieu des lascars des cités de la région parisienne. Et là, la donne change. Fini le respect du flic qui subsiste encore un peu en province. Ici, les policiers jouent leur peau ! Ils affrontent dealers, voleurs, casseurs et même leur hiérarchie ! À force de volonté, Michel est affecté à la plus prestigieuse des BAC, la 75 N, celle qui veille sur Paris la nuit. C’est avec cette unité qu’il va être confronté à la vie nocturne parisienne avec le Bois et ses dépravés, les bagarres, les poursuites sur le périphérique, les manifestations et les blackblocs et puis, un soir, l’horreur qui a pour nom Bataclan. C’est la BAC 75 N qui, derrière son commissaire, pénètre la première dans la salle de spectacle transformée en scène de guerre. Pour Michel, un enfer commence qui le poursuit encore aujourd’hui.
