Buku ini menceritakan hal-hal menarik dalam keseharian Iva yang kemudian Iva ceritakan pada Pinky dan ditulisnya ke dalam buku harian berjudul Diary For 10 Years pemberian Katsujiro Ueno. Pak Omar, Kholif, dan teman-teman kelas Iva tidak pernah luput jadi bahan ceritanya kepada Pinky. Iva, sang tokoh utama dalam buku ini adalah siswa yang baik, cerdas, berhati lembut, sopan dan bijaksana. Iva memiliki sosok yang dijadikan panutan sekaligus motivator, yaitu Katsujiro Ueno, seorang berkebangsaan Jepang. Iva rajin berkirim surat dan mendapatkan nasihat-nasihat dari orang berkebangsaan Jepang tersebut. Katsujiro Ueno pulalah yang menyarankan Iva untuk menulis hal-hal yang dialaminya ke dalam buku hariannya. Pada bagian ini S.Herianto seolah ingin menyampaikan bahwa seorang anak membutuhkan contoh dan suri tauladan yang baik. Cerita berjudul Ayah, Mama dan Hp adalah salah satu cerita yang perlu disoroti. Menceritakan keresahan Iva yang merasa tidak mendapatkan perhatian dari Ayah dan Mamanya karena Ayah dan Mama Iva lebih sering mengutak-atik ponsel dari pada menemani Iva di waktu luang mereka. Cerita ini begitu sederhana tapi banyak terjadi di lingkungan keluarga saat ini. Ada berapa banyak orangtua yang sempat berdialog dengan anak-anaknya, ada berapa banyak orang tua yang sempat menanyakan “Bagaimana harimu di sekolah?” pada anak-anaknya, ada berapa banyak pula orang tua yang sempat mendongeng untuk anak-anaknya, kemudian bandingkan ada berapa banyak orang tua yang lebih suka memencet tanda jempol atau tanda hati di sosial media. Anak- anak seusia Iva tentu saja tidak bisa protes dan hanya bisa nrimo akan pola asuh orang tuanya. Di cerita ini Iva menyuarakan isi hatinya pada Pinky bahwa ia cemburu pada HP dan lebih baik menjadi Hp agar bisa menghabiskan banyak waktu dengan ayah dan mamanya. Sedih. Lebih lanjut, Muharromah mereview bahwa buku ini adalah tentang keseruan Iva dan teman-temannya saat belajar di kelas dan studi tour ke makam Raden Ayu Tirtonegoro. Mandi hujan, membuat pe-sapean, berbalas pantun, bermain drama pendek, dan menulis puisi adalah cerita keseruan Iva dan teman-teman kelasnya bersama Pak Omar.
