Jason's Voyage is the first overall, comprehensive treatment of the Old World or European theme in American literature in two decades. Thoroughly researched, the book examines the European tours of four major American writers - Herman Melville, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Henry James, and Thomas Wolfe - and demonstrates how their European experiences were transmuted into the literary work of art. At the same time, it defines the central themes in American letters, as they evolved in regard to Europe over the hundred year period from 1835 to 1935. Among these are innocence exposed to evil, the Grand Tour of Europe as an aesthetic pilgrimage, Old World nostalgia and romantic illusions versus sad disappointments, the ambivalence arising from American democratic self-assertion and the cultural myth of the Old World, the search for the Old Home and the American claim to its share of Europe's cultural heritage In its concluding synthesis, the book offers astonishing new insights into the relationships of American authors to Europe and in a wider sense enlightens the deep-rooted American affinity for the Old World.

The Jasons are a well-guarded group of world-class scientists, briefly outed in the Pentagon Papers during the Vietnam War, who have been meeting every summer since 1960 to tackle classified problems that the Defense Department cannot solve. Among many stunning innovations, they helped invent our electronic battlefield and Star Wars missile defense technology, and are now looking into ways to improve our intelligence gathering. Recounting the unknown story of these brilliant, stubbornly independent thinkers, Ann Finkbeiner takes advantage of her unprecedented access to this elite group to explore the uncertain bargains between science and politics. It is a story older than Faust and as timely as tomorrow’s headlines.

The end of my journey here on earth is presently being played out, but I am not afraid. In my lifetime, I have experienced it alllove, happiness, sorrow, and disappointment. Yet I have never felt alone. First, in my childhood, my parents were always there to love and protect me, and then it was my friends at school. I was abundantly blessed having Anne at my side, my wife and my lifes companion. But even above all this, I have felt the ever presence of God. Ive said and done many things that I regret, but my God is a forgiving god, and in my prayers, I am ever pleading for forgiveness for offending him in any way. I can only imagine the wonderment of what lies ahead for me. After seeing only a few of the natural wonders of the world, how much more beauty can my eyes behold? For me, heaven would be having my spirit set free to float throughout the universe, seeing the marvels of the world that God created for all mankind. But I can only imagine what heaven is really like. A song set to music by Bart Millard, I Can Only Imagine, says it all: I can only imagine what it would be like when I walk by your side. I can only imagine what my eyes will see when your face is before me. I can only imagine. Surrounded by your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you Jesus, or in awe be still? Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine when that day comes and I find myself standing before you. I can only imagine when all I do is forever, forever worship you. I can only imagine. I can only imagine.

Helplessly tied up and leaned against the alley wall eight year old Jason watches as his older brother is syatematically beaten to death and in anguish he cries out for mercy when suddenly something strange and unexplainable happens and young Jason is changed forever and as the alien watches from the shadows he fears what they created today will one day seek his revenge on them all. Jason’s Destiny is a story about a journey. The journey of a little boy who at the age of five is forced to flee the only home he ever knew to the streets of Rim Town. There he and Cole, his older brother, would start their new lives. But unknown by them they were marked boys. Little did they suspect that everything they thought they knew was a lie carefully orchestrated by the most powerful beings in the universe, the Ancients. They were so powerful they could destroy planets and stars with the power of their minds. Nothing and no one could stand before them, but something was stirring. Something even they feared and Jason was their only hope. Jason was their creation. It had taken them over three thousand years of trial and error. The genes of the greatest and most powerful Ancients flowed in Jason’s veins, but also something else simply referred to as the X-factor. Jason is compelled to seek them out in order to learn the secret of their power and after many failed encounters he finally finds the “one” and now the real journey begins. A journey that will take Jason to the ends of the universe, across dimensions, and through time itself. Along the way he would find friendship and love, but most importantly he would find himself and why that would mean so much to so many.

From the bestselling author of Blood, Sweat, and Pixels comes the next definitive, behind-the-scenes account of the video game industry: how some of the past decade's most renowned studios fell apart—and the stories, both triumphant and tragic, of what happened next. Jason Schreier's groundbreaking reporting has earned him a place among the preeminent investigative journalists covering the world of video games. In his eagerly anticipated, deeply researched new book, Schreier trains his investigative eye on the volatility of the video game industry and the resilience of the people who work in it. The business of videogames is both a prestige industry and an opaque one. Based on dozens of first-hand interviews that cover the development of landmark games—Bioshock Infinite, Epic Mickey, Dead Space, and more—on to the shocking closures of the studios that made them, Press Reset tells the stories of how real people are affected by game studio shutdowns, and how they recover, move on, or escape the industry entirely. Schreier's insider interviews cover hostile takeovers, abusive bosses, corporate drama, bounced checks, and that one time the Boston Red Sox's Curt Schilling decided he was going to lead a game studio that would take out World of Warcraft. Along the way, he asks pressing questions about why, when the video game industry is more successful than ever, it's become so hard to make a stable living making video games—and whether the business of making games can change before it's too late.

I've always known my intuition was very strong. Since I was a young child, I had grown accustomed to sensing and knowing things that were unseen. I was born and raised in a small, southern town, in an ultra-conservative family. I often struggled to accept myself. As I grew older, my gifts became more obvious and broader in abilities. I experienced anxiety and depression as I tried to silence my calling. In the winter of 2005, I began having premonitions of my brother's passing. After his passing, he introduced me to my true calling by giving me insight to the Other Side. He has given me the most beautiful gift in my darkest hour. I would love to share the story of our incredible bond and my struggles as I learn to love myself, begin healing, and learn to accept the mysteries unfolding around me. Come with me as I Journey to the Healing Tree.
