Springtime in Polk Corners is anything but sleepy. Blooms, birdsong, and weddings abound… Tara Jackson owns a small confectionary shop where she makes all the sweets by hand. When she is contracted to provide gourmet jellybeans for the biggest wedding of the season, her quiet life is turned upside down. Pete Timbers has just returned to his old hometown. He plans to settle down and build a life in the place he loves so much, but memories of the woman he lost make it difficult. He doesn't mind standing up as his brother's Best Man, especially if it means he can find a chink in the armor his former high-school crush has in place. Their history isn't great, but spring is the time for new beginnings...isn't it?

Jim Powell was a Jelly-bean. Much as I desire to make him an appealing character, I feel that it would be unscrupulous to deceive you on that point. He was a bred-in-the-bone, dyed-in-the-wool, ninety-nine three-quarters per cent Jelly-bean and he grew lazily all during Jelly-bean season, which is every season, down in the land of the Jelly-beans well below the Mason-Dixon line. Now if you call a Memphis man a Jelly-bean he will quite possibly pull a long sinewy rope from his hip pocket and hang you to a convenient telegraph-pole. If you Call a New Orleans man a Jelly-bean he will probably grin and ask you who is taking your girl to the Mardi Gras ball. The particular Jelly-bean patch which produced the protagonist of this history lies somewhere between the two—a little city of forty thousand that has dozed sleepily for forty thousand years in southern Georgia occasionally stirring in its slumbers and muttering something about a war that took place sometime, somewhere, and that everyone else has forgotten long ago.

This collection compiles the works on which the fame of one of the most fascinating writers of the twentieth century was built. Francis Scott Fitzgerald became a mouthpiece for ideas and expressed the spiritual moods bubbling amongst the young people during the 1920s. Fitzgerald, in the words of Amory from This Side of Paradise (1920), wrote that a generation had “grown up to find all God’s dead, all wars fought, all faiths in man shaken”. Fitzgerald was the first to tell the world about the commencement of the “jazz age” with its carnival approach towards life- a lifestyle which he also followed. However, as a sensitive artist, he could not help but notice the dualistic nature of this philosophy. Fitzgerald's writing demonstrated that a life spent at the carnival would inevitably lead to bankruptcy. Fitzgerald often worked on multiple short stories simultaneously while writing his novels. Later, these stories were compiled. His relationship and love for his wife Zelda fueled much of his writing. Her diagnosis and hospitalization for schizophrenia in 1930 affected him greatly. In his later years, Fitzgerald worked in Hollywood on movie scripts. His last novel, The Last Tycoon, remained unfinished at the time of his death in 1940 and reflected his Hollywood experiences. The Great Gatsby The Curious Case of Benjamin Button The Offshore Pirate The Camel’s Back The Diamond as Big as the Ritz The Jelly-Bean May Day Porcelain and Pink Tarquin of Cheapside Oh Russet Witch! The Lees of Happiness Mr. Icky Jemina, The Mountain Girl

Tales of the Jazz Age is a collection of eleven short stories by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. Divided into three thematic parts, the anthology highlights Fitzgerald's signature fascination with wealth, tradition, and the frenetic youth culture that emerged in the post-war jazz age. In "The Diamond as Big as the Ritz," Fitzgerald satirizes the selfishness of the rich. "May Day" depicts a party at a popular club that turns into a political demonstration. The collection also features one of Fitzgerald's best-known stories, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." In this detour into fantasy, a man is born with the body and mind of an old man and ages backwards over the course of his life. Taken from the 1922 copyright edition, this unabridged collection features the striking prose and poignant themes that exemplify Fitzgerald's career.

She accepted a humiliating request to save her family business. Her father had tragically died after her pregnancy, and her fiance conspired with her stepsister to chase her out from the Mont family. Returning three years later, she had no choice but to provoke the arrogant man to reclaim her late father's villa. However, she was cornered by the man. Trembling, she said, "Mr Fudd, I didn't mean to offend you..." He pondered for a moment and said, "It's too late, I need compensation." Why was he grdually turning the fake marriage into reality? She blushed but he did not care. Amused, he frowned and stared at her. "You have children, what's the point of being so reserved?" With wide eyes, the cute munchkin standing next to her held her hand and said, "Mummy, I want a little brother!"
