This book is the proceeding of the International Conference on Maritime Education (ICOME 2021) that was successfully held on 3-5 November 2021 using an online platform. The conference was mainly organized by The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (FKIP UMRAH). This conference aims to provide a forum for scholars, professionals, and academics to share their fruitful insights on current issues in education. Each participant will get an opportunity to expand their networks and collaborate at the ICOME 2021. The conference’s theme is “The Reinforcement of Educational System, Values, and Characters in Maritime Education”. The number of participants who joined the zoom room was recorded at 296 participants and 30 participants attended the conference directly at the Aston Hotel, Tanjungpinang, Indonesia. The 27 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 41 submissions. The papers reflect the conference sessions as follows: teaching methods and approaches, testing and evaluation, educational management and policy, designing syllabus and production of teaching materials, teacher training and professional development, digital literacy and technology usage for education, challenges and barriers in coastal education, character education in maritime context, curriculum development for maritime context, international, cross-national and domestic forces in the shaping of educational ideologies, educational systems, and patterns of teaching and learning.

This is an open access book. The education sector during the Covid-19 Pandemic is currently undergoing a total reformation. The education process at schools and colleges which was carried out face-to-face has now turned into virtual face-to-face learning utilizing various platforms. Also, the Covid-19 Pandemic has impacted the research and development process in the field which must be delayed due to the risk of Covid-19 transmission. In regard to this, the educational process does not run optimally. In fact, education is the process of developing the future generation of a country that are supposed to supported by all parties while looking for solutions to the problems at hand. As part of social sciences, the objects of historical study include humans who are bound by the dimensions of space and time. This confirms that history is part of science that is tied to human life. Therefore, various policies taken by the government must also be reviewed from the past historical experience with adjustments to the conditions of the era. Moreover, historical experience will provide an idea that humans are always innovating to solve the problems they face, especially policies related to education and learning.Based on those problems, History Education Study Program of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta will hold an international conference on "Future Teaching and Learning: A Disruptive Innovation." The aim of the conference is providing a forum for exchanging information and finding solutions to learning and teaching problems in the current era of disruption, considering that the Covid-19 Pandemic has changed everything. This conference will seek solutions and innovations from various perspectives which include social, historical and educational perspectives.

The theme of the conference is "Reconstructing Morals, Education, and Social Sciences for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals". This theme was formulated due to several considerations. ICCEDI is an international seminar that is held every two years organized by the Law and Citizenship Department, Faculty of Social Science Universitas Negeri Malang. This is an open access book. The 3rd Universitas Lampung International Conference on Social Sciences (ULICoSS) 2022 (ULICoSS) 2022 is an international conference organized by the Institute for Research and Community Services, Universitas Lampung, Indonesia. The event took place on 6th – 7th September 2022 in Bandar Lampung City, on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. This event will adopt a hybrid working model, combining an in-person event with an online meeting via Zoom. Attendees and presenters are expected to interact in this way, using technology to connect to global networks. As has been widely stated in the literature, a number of reports and papers have examined the pandemic’s negative effects, with the majority of work to date focusing on COVID-19’s negative impact on psychological well-being. Thus, social adjustment is required for resilience in order to adapt to and change in the face of adversity. In other words, it is clear that social adjustment, which includes the specific behaviors and abilities that people use to deal with daily problems and adapt to changing circumstances, is critical for global resilience today. As such, this international conference, which will feature five invited keynote speakers from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Indonesia, and Japan is intended to serve as a forum for the dissemination of specific alternative and significant breakthroughs in rapid social adjustments for global resilience, with an emphasis on global society, social welfare and development, and innovative communication, among other topics. Therefore, we invite scholars, academics, researchers, experts, practitioners, and university students to participate and share perspectives, experiences, and research findings by submitting papers on a variety of topics relevant to the conference’s theme and scope.
