Die Notwendigkeit der Gewinnmaximierung in der Unternehmung Unternehmen haben viele Ziele, wobei unter Ökonomen die Frage, ob Unternehmen nur nach dem Gewinnmaximierungskalkül1 agieren sollten, umstritten ist. Ohne an dieser Stelle partialanalytische mikrökonomische Studien zu bemühen, herrscht in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften Einigkeit darüber, dass Unternehmen vor allem langfristig Gewinne maximieren sollten, um am Markt bestehen zu können2. Denn nur Unternehmen, die Profit erzielen, können sich noch andere Ziele leisten. Wenn nun Gewinnmaximierung das Oberziel einer Unternehmung ist, dann stellt sich die Frage, nach welchen Gesichtspunkten man andere Unternehmensziele bewerten soll. Wenn man ein wertfreies Bewertungsmodell für die Analyse von Handlungsmustern und -zielen sucht, dann bietet es sich an, Interaktionen und Zielformulierungen auf Kosten- und Nutzenüberlegungen hin zu untersuchen. Dieser ökonomische Ansatz3 eines Gary Becker bietet die Möglichkeit, systematisch über Vorteilsüberlegungen zu Erkenntnissen von interagierenden Wirtschaftssubjekten und Handlungssituationen jedweder Art zu gelangen4. Das Ethikkonzept von Homann baut auf solchen Vorteils- und Anreizüberlegungen auf, um darüber hinaus aufzuzeigen, wie z.B. konfligierende Interessen ökonomisch sinnvoll überwunden werden können. Wenn eine Unternehmung ihren Gewinn maximieren will und die Arbeitnehmerschaft konträre Interessen verfolgt, dann gilt es nach Homann einen derartigen Rahmen an Regeln zu gestalten, der die Anreizstrukturen beider Parteien berücksichtigt, um Kooperationsgewinne zu erzielen.

Sie ist eine immer wiederkehrende Herausforderung mit vielen potentiellen Chancen wie die an Bedeutung gewonnen Begriffe, „Fair-Trade“, „Nachhaltigkeit“ und das generelle „Umweltbewusstsein“ zeigen. Die Fragestellung „Ökonomik – als Ethik mit besseren Mitteln“ mit der sich diese Arbeit beschäftigt, soll diesen Diskurs der dualistischen Positionen aufgreifen und die vorherrschenden wissenschaftlichen Meinung aufzeigen. Diese teilt sich im Grunde genommen grob in zwei Lager auf. Auf der einen Seite befinden sich die Vertreter der Position, die Ethik und die Ökonomik als antagonistisch sehen. Auf der anderen Seite stehen diejenigen, welche der Meinung sind, dass die Ethik und die Ökonomik sehr wohl koexistieren können, sogar aufeinander aufbauen. Diese Auffassung vertritt auch HOMANN, auf dessen Sichtweisen diese Arbeit primär eingehen wird. Um diesen Sachverhalt zu untersuchen, wird zuerst auf den Verlauf der Ethik eingegangen, um ein besseres Verständnis für die darauffolgende Auseinandersetzung der zwei gegensätzlichen Parteien zu erlangen. Die daran anschließende Erläuterung von Dilemmastrukturen soll als Grundlage für den darauf aufbauenden Lösungsansatz HOMANNS zur Überwindung grade dieser Dilemmastrukturen in der Marktwirtschaft dienen. Hierbei werden vor allem die Ordnungs- und Handlungsethik der Unternehmen betrachtet. Letztlich wird diese Arbeit den herausgearbeiteten Ansatz HOMANNS auf den amerikanischen Energiekonzern „Enron“ anwenden und versuchen. einen möglichen Ausblick zu bieten.

Ever since people have lived together in groups, there have been leaders and those who are led. The many different leadership styles have also been discussed and criticized since the 1950s. The question arises which style is the most efficient or the "right" style for leading people. For a company it is of great importance with which behavior their managers can influence or motivate the employees to the best possible performance and thus achieve the company's goals. Empirical studies show that the leadership style has a great influence on the work and well-being of leaders and employees and thus also on the economic success of the company. However, there is no one optimal leadership style as several studies and publications have already proven. Each of the styles can achieve both positive and negative results, depending on the situation and the individual employee. The leadership styles should be adapted according to the situation. In this paper, after defining the terms leadership and leadership style, on the one hand the classical leadership styles and on the other hand the transactional and the transformational leadership styles are explained and compared. Possible advantages and disadvantages as well as their influence on employee motivation, willingness to perform and leadership success will be shown. In addition, results of current studies will provide an insight into the state of research. Finally, the most important points are summarized and a concluding conclusion is drawn on the basis of the knowledge gained.

Nothing affects the modern economy (and society) more than decisions made in the market place, especially, but not only, decisions made by consumers. Although it is not startling to suggest that decisions made in production are affected by choices consumers make, consumers have long been viewed, not only by academic economists, as individual, isolated rational actors that make or refrain from purchases purely on the basis of narrow financial considerations. Markets are not and never were morally neutral. Market relations have always had an often taken-for-granted moral underpinning. The moralization of the markets refers to the dissolution and replacement of the conventional moral underpinnings of market conduct, for example, in the music market, financial markets, and corporate governance. It further implies not only the heightened importance of new ethical precepts, but the significant change in the role of moral ideals in market behavior. These profound transformations of economic conduct are accompanied and co-determined by societal conflicts. The moralization of markets represents thus a new stage in the social evolution of markets. Considered historically, financial crises have increased significantly in recent years. This is not the result of simple coincidence, but rather much more an indication of a massive weakness in the present economic system. The point of departure for this book is the business crises and collapses that have shaken the global economy in the past few years. Starting with examples as the Enron bankruptcy and the subprime crisis in 2007, we search for explanations for the crises. Several possible causes are examined and various questions from recent discussions of ethics on topics such as manager pay increases are answered. After discovering several weaknesses in the economic system and inappropriate behavioral stimuli we find two main causes for them: the neglect of measurable and non-calculable qualitative factors (also called soft facts) and an extreme greed in managers at the cost of their companies. A lack of ethics or moral behavior lead us to question the meaning of morality for the economy, and thus for society. This issue is examined not only from the view of individual companies, but also from national economic and general social context using the example of Russia. We found a very large influence from moral values and general qualitative factors of influence, which have not been considered up to now. The knowledge gained will be applied to develop a management approach to qualitative leadership, which includes qualitative factors previously ignored, and brings human productive forces into the picture by including active employees as people in the business process.
