Selain negaranya makmur, rajanya juga terkenal adil. Meskipun anak sendiri, karena bersalah, tetap mendapat hukuman. Perempuan yang menjadi raja Kalingga tersebut bernama Sima. Selain Sima, Indonesia masih memiliki raja perempuan seperti Tribhuwanatunggadewi Jayawisnuwardhani (raja perempuan pertama Kerajaan Majapahit), Ratu Kalinyamat (raja perempuan yang ditakuti Bangsa Portugis). Ada juga perempuan-perempuan yang mengukir sejarah di bidang kemiliteran, seperti Laksamana Keumalahayati, Nyi Ageng Serang yang ahli strategi perang, Martha Christina Tiahahu yang berjuang saat usianya masih belia, Pocut Baren, Tengku Fakinah sang panglima perang. Meskipun bukan seorang raja atau berkecimpung di bidang kemiliteran, akan tetapi perempuan- perempuan yang riwayatnya ditampilkan dalam buku ini adalah perempuan-perempuan yang pernah mengukir sejarah di tanah air kita.
