A funny and sexy new paranormal romance, perfect for fans of Charlaine Harris and Patricia Briggs, Kept features the charmingly quirky werewolf, Natalya Stravinsky, as she navigates the minefields of love and war in the Garden State. Fresh from defending her pack in battle, Natalya Stravinsky, a whip-smart werewolf with a lovable neurotic streak, wants a little rest and relaxation. Once an outcast, she’s now eager to rejoin the ranks of her New Jersey pack, and has even gotten a handle on her obsessive urge to hoard holiday ornaments. Yet Nat barely has time to revel in her progress before the next crisis comes howling at her door. Nat’s father has suddenly gone missing, captured by the Russian werewolf mafia. And as Nat steps up to save her dad from a mob boss’s deadly game, two men step in to play another round for her heart: her gorgeous alpha ex-boyfriend, Thorn, and her new flame, the sweetly sensitive wizard Nick. With her life growing more harried by the minute, Nat must stay cool, calm, and collected . . . or else risk losing everything. “If you like your urban fantasy original, quirky, and offbeat, this is the series for you. Natalya is the craziest heroine since Carolyn Crane’s Justine Jones, and you will love her just as much.”—Ann Aguirre, bestselling author of Devil’s Punch “I’m obsessed with Shawntelle Madison’s fantastic urban fantasy debut, featuring hoarding werewolves, magic, and mayhem! More, please!”—Michelle Rowen, bestselling author of That Old Black Magic, on Coveted

Kept is a memoir that recounts the defining moments in my journey from life in a middle-class African-American family tightly bound by duty and God to a life of prostitution, drugs, and crime, and ultimately to the life I lead now- defined by faith, community, and family. It's a journey that stretches from California through Arizona and Texas and on to Memphis. This is not just another story about a woman who loses her way and finds redemption in the end. Even in cheap hotels, dens of drug lords, and prison cells, I always spoke to God. My faith sustained me, as did my love for the man who traveled this broken path along with me. That love despite extraordinary obstacles, became the foundation for the rest of my life.

An epic tale of wartime. The book tells the story of two young people from Gdansk, parted by the outbreak of war. It is a record of their journey, which saw them on opposite sides of the conflict. Yet, there are many characters in the novel, whose stories are introduced to the reader through the adventures of the book's main characters. It is also, if not primarily, a testimony to the past, told in the language of those who survived the war. Many of the events quoted in the book really happened, and these are the actual accounts of the author's parents (who lived through the war) and other family members, these are also testimonials of soldiers of the past interviewed by the author and all this has been braided into a story woven in the writer's imagination.

His journal, written in tiny notebooks, at moments under enemy fire, chronicles the battle and its human toll, and portrays the tenacity of the RAF ground crews without whom the British could not have defeated the German Luftwaffe.

The United Kingdom's domestic counter-intelligence and security agency, most commonly known as MI5, was founded in 1909 by Sir Vernon Kell KBE. Kell ('K' within the agency) not only founded MI5 but was also its Director for 31 years, the longest tenure of any head of a British government department during the twentieth century. Kell was also fluent in six foreign languages, making him arguably the most gifted linguist ever to head a Western intelligence agency. A Secret Well Kept was written by Kell's wife, Constance, in the 1950s, and the manuscript has been a treasured family possession ever since. Constance's story is endlessly fascinating: she tells of their life in China during the Boxer Rebellion, the formation of MI5 in 1909, the key characters, events and spy cases of Kell's career, and his important work achieved for the country during two world wars. A modern-day preface from Kell's great-granddaughter, introduction by Stewart Binns and notes from Dr Chris Northcott add historical context to this delightful and unparalleled insight into the personal life of an extremely powerful and important man.

Originally published in 1863, this is one of Anthony Trollope’s many early short stories. The novel follows the misfortune of the wealthy Greene family who are holidaying in Italy. It is there that our narrator Mr Robinson first encounters them and becomes privy to the knowledge that one of the Greene’s many travelling boxes contains Mrs Greene’s valuable jewels as well as a great deal of money. When the box goes missing, Mr Robinson is enlisted to help get to the bottom of the disappearance. A riveting read from much-loved author Anthony Trollope. Anthony Trollope (1815 – 1882) was a Victorian writer and author of 47 novels. He also wrote an autobiography, short stories and plays, travel articles, reviews and lectures. A prolific writer, he made no secret of the fact that money was his motivation for writing – an admission which raised eyebrows among his literary contemporaries at the time. The amount of works Trollope authored are testament to his belief in hard work. His first successful novel was The Warden followed by its sequel, Barchester Towers. The Chronicles of Barsetshire are perhaps his most well-known series of novels, though many of his works have been adapted for TV and radio, starring many familiar faces such as Alan Rickman, David Tennant, Bill Nighy and Tom Hollander. Alongside his literary career, Trollope also worked for some time for the Post Office and is credited with the introduction of the iconic post box to Britain. A memorial to Anthony Trollope was unveiled in Poets’ Corner in Westminster Abbey in 1993.
