Keterampilan keperawatan yang disajikan dalam buku ajar ini berupa tindakan sederhana non-invasive dan prosedur lanjutan yang dapat dilakukan oleh seorang perawat. Prosedur noninvasif yang diulas antara lain: pemeriksaan fisik head to toe; pemeriksaan tekanan darah, nadi, laju pernapasan, dan saturasi oksigen; pemberian nebulizer; fisioterapi dada; postural drainase; batuk efektif; memandikan pasien di tempat tidur; perineal hygiene; serta manajemen eliminasi urine dan fekal. Sementara prosedur tindakan tube yang diulas antara lain: pemasangan infus perifer, pemasangan nasogastric tube, dan pemasangan urine kateter. Guna mendukung peningkatan kualitas perawat yang mampu bekerja di luar negeri, buku ajar ini turut dilengkapi role play percakapan dalam bahasa asing.
