Der Zerfall der Sowjetunion (1991) stieß neue gesellschaftliche, politische, wirtschaftliche und religiöse Prozesse in der unabhängigen Ukraine an. Mit der "Auferstehung" der Ukrainischen Griechisch-Katholischen Kirche (UGKK) aus dem Untergrund (1989) begann zeitgleich ein neuer Abschnitt in der Geschichte der UGKK. Notwendig waren und sind immer noch grundlegende strukturelle Erneuerungen und der Aufbau einer zeitgemäßen Pastoral. Die Kinder- und Jugendpastoral bildet hierbei keine Ausnahme. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Kinder- und Jugendpastoral der UGKK in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart und versucht, Impulse für die Zukunft zu erarbeiten sowie notwendige Grundlagenliteratur für die Pastoraltheologie der UGKK zu schaffen.

Angesichts der rapiden Veränderungen in Staat, Gesellschaft und Kirche in Polen seit den 1990er-Jahren zeigt sich im polnischen Schulsystem mehr und mehr die Notwendigkeit, schulpastorale Angebote einzuführen. Diese bedürfen eines theoretischen Rahmens und einer institutionellen Verankerung. Bewährte Konzepte und Praxen in Deutschland können hierfür wertvolle Anregungen liefern. Die Hauptaufgabe dieser Arbeit besteht darin, ein praktisches, situatives und zukunftsfähiges Konzept der Schulpastoral für Polen am Beispiel der Diözese Łomża zu entwerfen. Dabei geht es nicht darum, angesichts eines signifikanten Rückgangs kirchlicher Bindung Schulpastoral als eine "Christianisierung mit neuen Methoden an Schulen" zu betreiben, sondern diese als Beitrag der Kirche zur Humanisierung der Schule auszugestalten.

Few New Testament topics have been discussed as often and as intensely as Q, the hypothesized second major source alongside the gospel of Mark for the gospels of Matthew and Luke, and the parables. And yet, no monograph to date has been devoted to considering the parables in Q. In addition to filling this gap in New Testament scholarship, Dieter T. Roth addresses the need to move scholarship on both Q and the parables forward along methodological and interpretive lines. Roth considers Q not as a text behind Matthew and Luke that needs to be reconstructed but rather as an intertext between Matthew and Luke that offered plots, characters, and images in parables that were taken up by Matthew and Luke and utilized in their own respective texts. In addition, Roth draws on recent parables research in his examination of the 27 parables in Q (two spoken by John the Baptist, one by the Centurion, and 24 by Jesus) in order to consider their purpose and function in this early Christian text.

Deuteronomy 10:12-11:32 is a very important text for the book of Deuteronomy. However, it has not received an adequate exegetical treatment so far. The present study intends to meet this need. Following a synchronic approach Thomas Karimundackal examines the text exegetically and theologically in its context. He analyzes the text extensively by referring to its intense relationships within Deuteronomy and with other biblical books. He shows how Deuteronomy 10:12-11:32 serves as a hermeneutical key to understand and interpret the theology of Deuteronomy. As a transitional passage, it connects the former framework and the Law Code in Deuteronomy, and thus forms a bridge. In addition, it is repeatedly connected to the latter framework of Deuteronomy, and thus proves to be a hermeneutical key to the book. From a theological point of view, the unique statements about God in Deut 10 stand out. The author also reflects on the role of the community and the contemporary relevance of the text.
