Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Die manipulative Macht der Werbung steht seit langem in der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion, konnte aber bisher weitgehend entkräftet werden. Ihr Einfluß auf Kinder wird erst in jüngster Zeit näher untersucht, wobei es hier kritischere Stimmen gibt. Die Aufgabe der Verfasserin bestand darin, diesen Sachverhalt in Form einer Literaturrecherche genau zu analysieren. Dazu stellte sie nach einer Beschreibung der Zielgruppe Kinder (Kapitel 2) das Dreigestirn Freizeit - Medien - Werbung vor, in dessen Rahmen die Autorin auf die Besonderheiten, die speziell für Kinder gelten, eingeht. Bei den Medien spielt v.a. das Fernsehen eine sehr große Rolle, was bereits in der Darstellung des Freizeitverhaltens durch die intensive Nutzung dieses Mediums erarbeitet wurde. Gesetzliche Werbevorschriften werden ebenfalls vorgestellt sowie die Notwendigkeit einer Werbe- und Medienerziehung. Im 4. Kapitel beschäftigt sich die Verfasserin mit den Kindern als Rezipienten der Werbung und stellt in dessen Verlauf die Rahmenbedingungen für die Entwicklung einer Werbekampagne für die Zielgruppe Kinder vor. Schließlich werden die "potentiellen Konsumenten" noch einer näheren Betrachtung bezüglich ihres Konsumverhaltens unterzogen, bevor die Arbeit mit der Schlußbetrachtung endet. Die Verfasserin wird der Aufgabenstellung gerecht. Die Arbeit weist eine stringente Untergliederung auf. Die Flut an Informationen wird (stilistisch) gut gebündelt, so daß eine redundanzfreie Struktur entsteht. Nur manchmal verliert der Leser innerhalb der einzelnen Kapitel die Übersicht, da weitgehend auf Tabellen oder andere "Visualisierungsinstrumente" verzichtet wurde. Wünschenswert wäre zudem eine stärkere Einbindung der eigenen Meinung gewesen. Beispielsweise hätte das mit viel Mühe vorgestellte Interview aus dem Anhang besser integriert und bewertet werden können.
