Diese Fragestellungen werden in nachfolgenden Kapiteln fachlich aufgegriffen, angefangen mit dem zweiten Kapitel, in dem der Begriff der Berufsethik und seine Bedeutung für Fachkräfte aufgegriffen wird. Weiterhin wird auf die in Deutschland geltenden Kinderrechte eingegangen, mit besonderem Hinblick auf die UN-Kinderrechtskonvention. Das dritte Kapitel widmet sich vorab der Klärung von Begriffen rund um die Thematik des Kindeswohls und geht zudem explizit auf den Begriff ‚Gewalt‘ und seine vielseitigen Formen ein. Nachfolgend werden potenzielle Ursachen und Risikofaktoren ergründet, welche Gewalt und Fehlverhalten in Kitas fördern. Abschließend wird in diesem Zusammenhang ein möglicher Handlungsleitfaden aufgezeigt und die Konsequenzen die Kindeswohlgefährdung für Fachkräfte nach sich ziehen kann. Im vierten Kapitel wird der Fokus auf die interne und externe Prävention in Kindertagesstätten gelegt. Insbesondere wird dabei auf die gewaltpräventiven Interventionen des Kinderrechtsansatz und die damit verbundene Kinderrechtsbildung und auf das Schutzkonzept von Kindergärten eingegangen. Das fünfte Kapitel trägt dann Theorie und Praxis in einem Fallbeispiel zusammen und nimmt Bezug auf das Wissen, Können und die Haltung einer Fachkraft, bezogen auf die Thematik ‚Gewalt durch pädagogische Fachkräfte‘. Mit dem sechsten Kapitel folgt das Fazit, welches Aufschluss und eventuelle Ausblicke aus der gesammelten Theorie gibt. Sowie die Reflexion der Forschungsfragen, welche dieser schriftlichen Ausarbeitung zugrunde liegen.

Secret-keeping is a seemingly unavoidable part of human interaction, from governments to married couples. Unlike privacy, which in the West is considered a healthy characteristic of the autonomous adult, secrets are often troublesome, creating distorted perceptions and strained relationships. Secrets, moreover, are complex. They differ in significance (a surprise party versus hidden incest), in the ways they shape family relationships (who knows what about whom), in their location (between family members or between the family and society), and in their effects on individual functioning (Does the secret affect only one relationship or the overall way the individual responds to others?). Because of this complexity, secrets are resistant to simple "rules": Therapy must comprise more than opening up the secret or addressing only the context and not the content or vice versa. Therapists are confronted with the difficult task of examining their own values regarding secrecy while, at the same time, providing an effective therapeutic environment. Practical issues of individual safety, the meaning of the secret for the family, the therapist's attitude towards secrets in general and the family's secret in particular - all must be considered in order for treatment to be effective. Here, Imber-Black and her contributors offer a vast array of approaches to helping families deal with secrets involving sexuality, race, violence, parentage, substance abuse, illness, and death. The contributors explore the therapeutic, social, and political issues of secrets, while always keeping families firmly in mind. Through the many case examples, they show us how families, at first constricted by the need tomaintain secrecy, can gain strength through greater openness. Over the past two decades, concern about adolescent sex offenders has grown at an astonishing pace, garnering heated coverage in the media and providing fodder for television shows like Law & Order. Americans’ reaction to such stories has prompted the unquestioned application to adolescents of harsh legal and clinical intervention strategies designed for serious adult offenders, with little attention being paid to the psychological maturity of the offender. Many strategies being used today to deal with juvenile sex offenders—and even to define what criteria to use in defining "juvenile sex offender"—do not have empirical support and, Frank C. DiCataldo cautions, may be doing more harm to children and society than good. The Perversion of Youth critiques the current system and its methods for treating and categorizing juveniles, and calls for a major reevaluation of how these cases should be managed in the future.
