Die Spezialisierung auf Freizeitsport wurde gewählt, da wesentlich mehr Bundesbürger Freizeitsport und nicht Leistungssport betreiben. Zunächst wird das Thema Freizeitsport und die damit verbundenen Ziele geklärt. Anschließend werden die Prinzipien von Kraft- und Ausdauertraining erläutert und ein Vergleich zwischen diesen erstellt. Zuletzt wird das sogenannte HIT (High Intensity Training) vorgestellt, wobei es sich um eine Kombination von Ausdauer- und Krafttraining handelt, welche im Freizeitsport immer mehr Bedeutung erlangt. Gesundheit und Fitness liegen voll im Trend - immer mehr Menschen betreiben Sport, um sich gesund und fit zu halten. Die verstärkte Motorisierung und die vielen sitzenden Tätigkeiten im Alltag führen häufig zu Bewegungsmangel, dem durch regelmäßiges Training vorgebeugt werden kann. Egal ob Leistungssportler oder Freizeitsportler, viele Leute setzen sich mit den verschiedenen Arten des Trainings auseinander. Sie stellen sich die Frage, welche Trainingsarten welche Effekte auf ihre Leistung und Gesundheit haben und welche am besten für sie geeignet sind.
