Cultural Animal Studies sind ein neuer interdisziplinärer Forschungsbereich, der sich ausgehend vom angloamerikanischen Sprachraum auch in der deutschen Wissenschaftslandschaft etabliert. Das Handbuch Tiere gibt einen umfassenden Überblick über das Forschungsfeld der Cultural Animal Studies sowie über seine theoretischen und methodischen Prämissen.
