E sono folle.” Un viaggio nei meandri oscuri della mente umana, attraverso Dèi Stellari folli o malevoli che non nutrono alcun amore verso l’umanità, se pure sono consapevoli della sua esistenza. L’horror, in fondo, è una denuncia di una società che ha tolto sogni e speranze ad una generazione, una società che ha perduto ogni alto ideale e tenta di riempire il vuoto della propria esistenza con piaceri effimeri. Una società decadente che, sperando di negare il Dolore, vi sprofonda sempre più irrimediabilmente. Poiché gli Dèi stessi sono dolore. Francesco Carniel (1989), laureato in Storia presso l’università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, scrive racconti di fantasia fin da quando era bambino, avendo trascorso l’infanzia fra i libri di J. R. R. Tolkien. Gradualmente passa dal genere fantasy a quello fantastico-horror e nel 2015 pubblica tramite il sito ilmiolibro.it la sua prima raccolta di racconti, “I sogni del lupo”. Dell’inizio del 2017 è la novella interattiva “Il sogno del Sessantotto”, non edita, realizzata per un master in Comunicazione Storica. La presente raccolta è esplicitamente ispirata all’opera di H. P. Lovecraft, maestro indiscusso del genere horror.
