Mais l'Orient est toujours l'Orient : le lieu où le soleil se lève, le point de recueillement et le retour à la Source. Et l'Occident est toujours l'Occident : le lieu de la pleine manifestation des possibilités (y compris les plus dégénérées), de la tendance à la dissipation et à la dissolution ; le point où le soleil se couche. Dans la culture mondiale postmoderne, nous sommes tous plus ou moins forcés d'être des "Occidentaux" à l'extérieur ; notre seul recours dans ces circonstances peut être de devenir des "Orientaux" à l'intérieur.
